Full Tilt Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Full Tilt Poker Hand Converter from HandHistoryConverter.com

Button ($26.59)
SB ($44.46)
Hero (BB) ($25)
UTG ($25)
MP ($40.21)
CO ($26.20)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, A
3 folds, Button calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero bets $1, Button calls $0.75

Flop: ($2.10) 6, 7, K (2 players)
Hero bets $1.50, Button calls $1.50

Turn: ($5.10) 10 (2 players)
Hero bets $3, Button calls $3

River: ($11.10) J (2 players)
Hero bets $11.10, 1 fold

Total pot: $11.10 | Rake: $0.55

In these types of situations what do you normally do? I was semi-bluffing the flop, double barreling the turn, and then I hit my jasm card on the river. If I hadn't hit that card, I feel like i could never successfully bluff this, but now that I did, I find a fold

my action?

Beginner Grunch

I think the river is a bit of an overbet. What did you put your opponent on? It seems like they could have a weak K. Maybe they were calling down with some sort of diamond draw. Even if the other player thought you were bluffing, the final board is a bit scary if they are still left with only one pair.

I say that, depending on your other reads. You were fine. But hitting the card you want on the river, it is a bit of a large bet for the value bet you should be attempting.

i assume btn is fish becoz he's limp/calling btn
when you play a fish why not just bet/bet/bet when you hit something
instead of bet/bet with air

becoz asking fish to fold is asking yourself to be the fish
maybe a lil smaller, but pot size is fine and hopes he got Kx/2p

i think the big bet was fine. if he had something like an A7/99 turn/river was pretty brutal for him anyway, and people dont fold top pair much. it might miss some value from a flush draw with J or T, but thats not really much of his range anyway.

I like a big bet since the obvious draws missed and villain is probably bluffcatching a lot of the time. Pretty good spot for a big vbet iyam

c/r seems great on this spot imo, we are only scared that he checks back KQ and an eventual 9T

If villain had a BIG hand u would a got reraised by now given the board therefore opponent is fairly weak, perhaps 1pair kings.
I prefer a 1/2 pot bet here as this may aswell also induce a bluff from a missed flush draw but your hand is fairly well concealed so its not tooooo bad.
Overall
Spoiler:
1/2 pot wudda been bettar

i dont think fish bet river w busted draw or air here..
i'm not sure bet turn here.. which hands fold now after c/c flop?
river is the best card for us, and fish rarely folds a K (maybe he has a 2pairs at this moment).. potsize is ok

if the river was a blank (or a diamond), what is your plan? bet?

Seems fine to me. His likely hands are Kx and draws. If he has a K he'll probably call the pot bet. If it's a draw you could bet .25 and it wouldn't matter.

I am definitely checking a blank river, if he has a flush draw then we might be best with ace high and he is almost never folding if he has something good.
Even this turn bet is very marginal but as we picked up a draw its not too bad.
