25R&S on GG Poker

Hero is on BTN with 3s3c

CO raises to $0.63, Hero calls, fold, fold

Flop 7s 3h 2s

Pot $1.61

CO bets $1.21, Call

Turn 3d (pot $4.03)

CO X, I bet $1.33, call

River Kc
Pot $6.69

CO Check

Hero...?

I didn't raise the flop because I thought I just have all of the sets, although it is pretty draw heavy so I probably should have.

I bet small on the turn because on a paired board he might now fold flush draws etc, or even some A high hands that he's getting sticky with.

Probably could have got more in by the river, but now what to bet on the river?

pre is pretty dubious

having all the sets is a reason to have a raising range, not the reverse. we want to build a pot asap vs. overpairs. we're not getting stacks in vs. 76s anyway so might as well fold it out now. pre is definitely -EV if we're not playing aggressive enough to get stacks in when we get the dream runout

same thing here. This is a reason to bet big, not small. we probably want to mostly x, but bet very large when we do

as played bet river big. pot or bigger

don't over think it. big hand = big pot, even in solverland. unless you're way way overbluffing flop and turn because they overfold (in which case, that would be a coherent strategy). But what normally happens is that people will have contradictory thoughts and will both underbluff and under value bet, which is the worst of both worlds

Thanks, I would bet big/re-raise flop feel as though people are so tight on this site though. I have been betting big and just getting called so little which is another reason why I bet small.

But you're right, I shouldn't deviate from the correct play just because I think the site is tight. Maybe people just haven't had hands when I've been betting big recently.

Pretty sure he had an overpair, I overbet pot 150% on the river and he tanked for a while and folded. I would also use this size as a bluff occasionally.

It's good to deviate from the "correct play" if you have a good reason to (and "the pool is tight" is a great reason to). But make sure the main way you're adjusting to that pool is not by value betting for smaller sizes, but by bluffing way more.

Pre is very marginal
Flop whatever calling raise both work
I like turn sizing.
Otr-You could jam, that would be fine play, or bet some 1/2 sizing that would induce xr by Kx. Pot is natural sizing but its bad in this spot 7x will fold a lot and K wont xr.
