Small hand samples as I've only seen a couple of orbits at the table.

I 3bet BTN to 6xbb and I'm hoping that BB will atleast join in for the flop since I have a good hand, but he folds. BTN calls my 3bet and from this point onwards I'm forgetting about putting him on a range (as I've got pocket aces heads up).

On the flop I choose to check to induce a cbet bluff from him as his aggression factor is 7,0 (since I am of course thinking that he completely missed the flop due to his high VPIP and not thinking about that he actually called my SB 3bet). He bets 7xbb and I raise to 20bb which he calls. At this very spot I should start to think that maybe he has a piece of the flop after all, but no.

On the turn comes a Tc completing a possible straight and a possible house for a JT hand aswell, but I'm just checking and hoping he will bet so I can get more money in the pot from his "wild bluffs". Rest is history.

My conclusion - I should've c/f after my flop raise got called. Generally I should be better at c/f hands.

How do you put together a plausible range for villains with a VPIP30+?

Villains preflop vpip could be 100 it wouldnt matter. By check raising here you've close to guaranteed villains continue range is razor tight.

Fwiw just asking vague questions of what 30vpip ranges are means close to nothing. I used to play 35/28 vpip/pfr in 6max and it's not necessarily thesame from all positions etc

I'm not sure if this villain is widening his range in later positions as I've seen him going to showdown from all positions with "different kind of junk". Often a middle pair weak kicker.
