Readless on the SB, although having played 100% of pots does look suspicious even after 4 hands (5 including this one). Doesn't necessarily mean he 3bets wide though, plenty of fish are very tight 3bettors. CO is an absolute drooling fish, seen him call down with mid pair a couple of times. Postflop, I've seen him raise twice - once with TPWK, and once with a set. So TPWK is worth a flop/turn 2bet to this dude.

Think pre is standard. Now here the problems start..

SB checks, so at that point I put him on a couple of high cards, AK/AQ type thing. I check myself, and I'm thinking I probably made a big error here. Thought the SB could be trapping, plus that highly connected board hits the CO's range pretty nicely.

Anyway, the turn was a pretty ugly card. SB checks again so he's clearly got nothing, he wouldn't be slowplaying a board this wet. But then again there's a shedload of 6x in the CO's range, and plenty of 2 pairs as well, so should I even be betting here?

When CO raises, I thought I'd best fold. If he's got the straight I'm dead, but a lot of his top pair hands have made 2 pair now, so I just ended up folding.

So:

1) Would you guys bet the flop, given that the SB checked?
2) If the SB bets instead, are you calling on the flop? If he jams a blank turn, do we call that as well?
3) Should I have even bothered betting turn as played?
4) If I were to bet flop, and got called by the CO (SB folds), would you bet again on the turn?

BTN: 124.75 BB (VPIP: 38.46, PFR: 2.22, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 91)
SB: 126.75 BB (VPIP: 100.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 4)
BB: 9.75 BB (VPIP: 47.06, PFR: 23.53, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 34)
Hero (UTG): 139 BB
MP: 234 BB (VPIP: 29.63, PFR: 20.37, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 54)
CO: 129.25 BB (VPIP: 79.25, PFR: 13.21, 3Bet Preflop: 4.00, Hands: 54)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J J

Hero raises to 3 BB, fold, CO calls 3 BB, fold, SB raises to 11 BB, fold, Hero calls 8 BB, CO calls 8 BB

Flop: (34 BB, 3 players) 9 5 7
SB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: (34 BB, 3 players) 8
SB checks, Hero bets 17 BB, CO raises to 34 BB, fold, fold

CO wins 64.75 BB

Bet that flop. CO is a fish with a wide enough range that you can extract value. SB likely has overcards. I am not sure about betting the turn, I need to think about it. ATM I am leaning more towards XC a smallish bet (by CO) and fold to anything larger. The line you took I think is susceptible to getting bluffed on rivers by Tx. Whereas if you XC you can have the straight from CO POV. Also lots of combo's that beat you anyway.

this. Fold out a lot of SB equity and get a lot of value from CO. Win win.
