Playing Second Pair & The People That Habitually Fold It Too Much Playing Second Pair & The People That Habitually Fold It Too Much

So far in my experience of playing these games, it seems that my opponents do not seem to call with 2nd pair or try to bluff catch much on the flop.

Seems like if they haven't got top pair or a good draw, they won't continue, or even more remarkably, they will continue with those hands but also overs or ace high's on low boards.

So I raise preflop and I bet a flop of Q-5-4, they don't want to call with hands like 77 or 88 or A5, even though it seems to me that would be OK to call with because that rates to be the best hand on the flop. They'll take a card off with KQ if it comes 8-5-2 rainbow, but they won't call with 65 on that flop.

I'm not going to try to understand why they do that but I am interested in how to exploit that. Presumably one will just try to c-bet a lot, even on boards where it looks like you shouldn't really c-bet.

Also, I would like to know your thoughts on playing 2nd or even 3rd pair when holding it yourself. Is it wrong to call down, is it right to just fold on the flop? Do you bet your hand if it checks to you?

Let's hear your thoughts.

If an opponent is usually folding less than two overcards, or second pair or lower, we just c-bet those uncoordinated, dry flops every time. It's hard to flop top pair. You're right though. Calling down with less than top pair makes people more uncomfortable than it should.
Since these are extremely passive players, we feel comfortable folding to any aggression. We're going to pick up so many small pots, it doesn't matter if we make some big folds here and there. We value bet hard with our strongest hands. They fold flops so often, that when they finally flop top pair, they're never folding. That's when we break them.

Double barrel low flops if they float overcards. Profit.

Generaly: I think. Playing second pair against nofolding fish is suicide. Against nits or Tag fish I turned it mostly into bluff. I think this hand is at FR usable as bluffcatcher or against ultra aggro mainacks as value hand.

Against to much folding oponents we cen exploit them with ATC. We dont need nothink. They will fold or we are beaten.
Is it better post than firs one?
