Alec brought this thread to my attention and asked me if I would post about what I know that happened in this whole situation. Alec told me that he was playing Perky in some 50k freezeouts online on credit and he asked me to buy half of his action, he had played Perky a few times live in similar freezeouts in NYC and everything had gone smoothly in terms of payments and stuff so I decided to buy half of his action. I watched Alec and Perky play and saw nothing out of the ordinary at all (I had played Perky online a lot as well at the time, and he seemed to be playing like he always did). Alec finished up three freezeouts and shipped me 75k more-or-less instantly. Doesn't make much sense for him to chop up 150k of someones money and then ship me half of it. Anyways, this is all I know about the situation, I don't know of any chip dumps or anything else but as far as the freezeouts are concerned I am confident they were legit.

You watched the freeze outs which aren't in dispute. Also, if he sent you money instantly like you say, then it wasn't with Perky's cash because Alec already said in this thread Perky chip dumped the 150k days after the freeze outs occurred.

The fact that he'd ask his friend to come to his defense rather than doing it himself speaks volumes.

This post has become diluted. To get to specifics, I sent Viffer a PM as well as a text message and have agreed to a Q&A. I'm waiting for his response. I didn't respond to accusations because I thought they were quite absurd and didn't give them much credence. In

The situation was pretty straight forward. We agreed to freezeouts and played on credit. Previously (in NYC) we had done the same format countless times with no issues.

Several days later, he wanted to dump the money to me. I owed half to Isaac (I didn't mention anything before as I didn't want to involve him until I talked with him) and I made the mistake of dumping. I didn't think I was affecting anyone since and had no idea of Perkys personal situation.

At that time, I had won over $500,000 from Perky. I treated him well, like the Bellagio does to their biggest clients. They accommodate them. It should be obvious that he was a huge source of revenue for many people in the poker community. I was willing to extend him various accommodations and play matches on his terms in order to ensure he kept playing me. When it came to dumping chips at his request, I did it. What I didn't want to happen was to bust his balls after beating him for a ton of money and have him not pay or not continue to play me. Call me naive. Call me stupid. But to equate this with a premeditated ploy where I somehow stole $150,000 is untrue.

I'm willing to take questions from Viffer since he is the one accusing me of this. If he comes to post, I'll answer. Otherwise, I don't think it's fair that I'm considered guilty of anything based on speculation. I also don't think I'm responsible for responding to spurious claims with no proof.

Lastly, I apologize for the way I came across earlier. I got a little upset hearing these accusations and it caused a lot of stress in my life. I shouldn't have came off like an arrogant ****** and made it seem like I was somehow perfect. I'm far from it and have done as many things as anyone to rub people the wrong way.

It's pretty incredible just how much the above tip toes around what really happened. If Alec blatantly had NO clue that the money being dumped to him was from a backer who had no idea his money was being stolen, he would have just said so. It is no surprise that Alec is not addressing that. At the very least, Alec must have suspected something very strange was going on given the nature of just how perky wanted to go about the dump with bet sizing tells rather than just talking over the phone or aim. He isn't addressing this point and so it seems he could possibly have known much more if not the whole situation with perky and the backer.

I think it is very likely Alec DID know perky was scamming someone else to pay him off and IF that is the case, as Ike said, it makes Alec part of the crime/theft and he should not only return the money as soon as possible, but in an ideal world, would face criminal charges.

Did you watch perky and alec play when perky paid the debt off?

Assumming the answer is no, what would you make of them dumping the chips to pay the debt.

OK so just dumping the chips isnt so bad, but what if they had to use a betting tell cause they both knew perky had someone watchiong him.

I know nothing about the chip dumping, this is the first i have heard anything about it. I watched the freezeout match when they played .25/.50 and that is it. I'm confused about why he would be out 225k? Obviously I would feel badly if Alec paid me with stolen money, to be honest I don't know what I would do if I found out, it is a very tough spot in that I don't want to be a part of a conspiracy to rob someone out of tons of money but I also don't want to get reverse freerolled. If Alec and Perky conspired to steal someone's money I think that is terrible, I have no knowledge of their dealings other than that Alec asked me to take half of his action in some freezeouts, won and then paid me very promptly, I haven't read much of this thread to be honest so I'm not even entirely sure the details of the accusations against Alec, he just asked me to post my knowledge of what happened which is what I did.
