What is the optimal play in a spot like this? Do we try to stab and take down the pot risking a x/r and getting blown off our equity? Or, do we check and take the guaranteed free card?

Mostly stab for a small sizing like 1/3p, especially with the bdfd, we can call most x/rs unless they jam or something.

On this node generally nearly all hands are indifferent between check and bet and the best size is small in GTO

yeah if you can call a raise comfortably it's usually a good spot to use those bluffs first
