GM, is this standard for QQ?

recently i've been tossing QQ facing a UTG raise and MP3/bet. At a certain point, you're only playing for set value, and you have no idea if somebody behind you is going to reshove...

Obv KK i just felt it, but you're not really getting good set odds unless they both just flat call right?

are you actually looking to play poker w/ QQ facing this PF action given that 40%+ of the time there will be and ace or king on the flop?
09-10-2007 , 04:11 PM
lol fyi your river bluff wasn't a bluff. You were ahead.

P.S. I am calling here if I hit a 2 on the river as well, so if you were indeed bluffing and not valuebetting you may want to pick better spots than vs me here. I put you on Ax(leaning toward AJ), and that is also why you can see why I would call on the river with a lone 2. I can explain why if you want.

P.S. I should've c-r but felt I would lose value from your bluffing range.

man, your image is crazy. how do you not get stacked in the first hand? are the games at nl400 that aggressive??? I feel like after your flop decision, you were getting it AI regardless. I'm just curious is this villain specific (obv), but more so, level specific?

thanks

Ummm...no?

Shortstacking is as exciting as playing limit hold them.
Not when you play at like 10x your normal limits.

You have already explained it in the pm.

The only hand you bet like this is a bd flush draw. Something I am not particularly scared of as it smells like a bluff to me(BD flush draws check behind a lot on turn, right?) You obviously don't have anything on the board as it would be a horrible line here, so I really see no reason you would bet this river like that except for bluffing.

I think I may be missing some kind've huge hand range here that would have me murdered, so maybe I am way off, but if you can throw me a couple hands that would play this like that, then I will believe that calling the river here would be a huge leak, otherwise I am going to turn it around and saying betting this river as a bluff is a huge leak But once again I am probably wrong and I don't mind letting you make me look stupid(you play g00t), so I don't mind it.

Not too much to think about here, the guy was like 48/13 and stacked off extremely light.
