TimStone - it's nowhere near a brag. I'm am ultra pissed off. I've been playing since forever and I don't think I've made a post like this before, I'm def not a guy that posts in the "Poker is rigged thread"

Jon, i wanted to get your coaching thread but it looks like just not an ad. do you coach, whats your stars sn?

no I actually stopped coaching for 1 year ago or so but they haven't removed this "See my coaching listing" thing from my username.
And it's very likely smth that I would not do again.

When I started coaching I made it a point to be as open about it as possible, show my SN, update my results, etc.
And to avoid showing off to attract students by posting videos on coaching sites with me calling off shoves on the river with K high and being right on my 25th attempt while making it seem like I am right every time :-)

I also didn't want to just stall time and just show 1-2 small things while the 1 hour session flies away like I've so often seen.
At some point bc I genuinely believed I would help players improve I switched to for profits coaching only which was a bad decision for me.
In order for that to work the coach has to do a mix of : requiring a significant secure deposit, enforce a series of rules and punishments for breaking them, etc. to be somewhat a dictator/punishing father type.

Which is too far from my natural self :-) I don't have kids, don't plan on having, I don't particularly like being around them even.
And you see/hear things like "I am winning at 6bb but I only played like 2 hours per day this month bc played PS4/watched TV/I'm a lazy bum/etc. " or "I know you've told me 100 times to not do X in this spot but I just couldn't help doing X " and countless other things that make you feel like you're a dad with kids that despite being 20+ year old will act like 10 year old.

Making players get good at poker was easy, dealing with the drama not smth I wanna relive again.

So unless I start to enjoy being a dad and develop a skill in that area I'll likely not coach again :-)

P.S : post like yours used to also annoy me bc they seem ignorant and seem to leave you open to being taken advantage of.

Like "I have no idea who this guy is and if his graph is trackable by independent third party and if he could even beat 25nl in 2017 but he seems to talk well so I'll trust him with teaching me how to play" :-)

oh well good to see that I am the only one seeing smth fishy about the RNG in the last 9 months or so.
Guess it just insane variance then and I could get a History Chanel TV Show where I could see aliens, ghosts and RNGs trying to equalize winrates and protect new players :-)

Yeah they just did. They told me that they were having some technical difficulties and they would put it back as soon as it's fixed. And everything would be the same as before.

is there any legit reason as to update stars? havent done it in months. iirc theres guys whos still using software where it shows players who are using mobile/tablets.

Also, HM2 shows that I raked 220$ today till now, while I've received only 890vpps on stars. I would usually just blame HM2 but with all these "bugs" Im not sure anymore.

So what do you believe then ? They said the new vip program will be announced 2 months in advance. We are all aware of how awful pokerstars has become over the years and what a joke their comunication with players is now. But what ? They simply decided to remove the possibility to convert points into cash and they are lying about this ???
