Plenty of free resources for preflop ranges, just search around.

8-12%

Does anyone have any training sites that they would recommend for microstakes 6-max?

Do you play microstakes 6-max? I'm looking to put a bunch of volume in, I think it might have been easy in the past to beat it, if you play it do you think it still is?

No.

Yes.

You can click the link below my name and see my graph for a 100-10k challenge I completed a couple years back.

The cheapest deal I know of that is of high quality is the runitonce.com Essential membership for $30/month. I have an Essential membership myself right now as I rewatch my favorite videos, but some months I go with the Elite for $100.

@walkby this is by far the best bang for your buck.

I think a lot of free material on youtube is very good. I especially like basically all the videos "Help me" does (jarretman). They are more play and explain videos, but he is a very good player and articulates his thoughts well.

I love Jarretmans videos and was wondering if anyone else does these sort of play and explains that are almost as good on YouTube?

I’m bummed that ppl are catching on to this.
Only other free YT content that I would vouch for as very good is Steffen Sontheimer’s play and explain videos.

But you need to be mindful that in some cases for his high stakes tables he’s only playing 40bb or a shorter stack, so that obviously will change his strategy/sizings in many spots.

For September...

20,926 hands at 50 Zone at 4.67 BB/100, 3.66 EV/100

29,907 hands at 200 Zone at 4.18 BB/100, 3.45 EV/100

It was by far my most volume at 200 Zone. In fact, I hadn't played it since December of last year as I worked to improve my 50 Zone results. The biggest difference I notice at 200 Zone is simply that the reg to fish ratio is less favorable.

It was also my biggest month in $ won since switching to NL from LHE. I came close to breaking $3000. Hopefully I can continue to put in volume at 200 Zone without wussing out. After almost 600k hands at 50 Zone, surely there isn't much more for me to learn there.

Good luck in October, everyone!

Sorry if this is annoying, but I haven't played online in years and was wondering what the best resource is to get an idea of where the game is now. I saw I had some money on my bovada account and noticed that 1/3 pot cbets seem to be the standard at 25nL. Other little things seemed weird and different from when I was last active. I'll probably be browsing around here more, but if anyone can point me to a decent strategy guide I'd appreciate it!

Runitonce or upswing are very cost effective and noob friendly. Beyond that, you can try to find some cash streamers on twitch or some free content on youtube. Someone else also made a comment/question about 1/3 cbets in the poker theory forum and I gave a pretty detailed response the other day:

Thanks! I figured it was something sort of like that, but wanted to see the actual rationale behind it. That's a fantastic explanation. I was also finding it more difficult to play against because I wasn't 100% sure if the players cbetting 1/3 pot were TAG archetypes or just loose players stabbing around. It's been 10+ years since I regularly played online and it looks like poker theory has changed quite a bit.

Thanks for the recommendations as well.

Yeah I too have fairly recently returned to the world of online poker after being off since black friday. The 1/3 c-bet was new to me as well. I adopted it pretty early on as it's fun to watch some of the folds they get. It makes the game somewhat easy we can just bet a shitload and not be making too huge of a mistake. The hard part is defending against them. Some of the hands we are supposed to call and raise with are pretty unintuitive. I am pretty sure if we posted some of the BB defends and subsequent flop calls/raises required against these bets in this forum in 2010 you'd get a string of responses like "fold pre, fold flop, what are you doing."

lol yea 100%...imagine in 2010 some dude flicking out a 1/3rd flop bet, then double potting the turn. Immediate Pink tagged imo

I finally got my first 1k night since switching to NL from LHE... $1760! It was nearly a 2k night, but someone decided to get it in pre with ATo against my AKo and get there in the last few minutes lol.

Grats on getting 2 1k nights back to back! My next goal is a 10k month, but that is probably a long ways off. I would need to either run like God at 200nl or play some 500nl.
