ya i no i don't rep much, except maybe a random 8, but his river betsizing is basically what made me c/r
03-22-2010 , 12:30 PM
but seriously, who raises a set there
03-22-2010 , 12:32 PM
yeah but what nonbluffs are u 3betting in this flop =/
03-22-2010 , 12:34 PM
pretty much nothing, but just think how strong his flop range that continues to this 3bet has to be if he doesn't realize this

i rather call than 3bet, and c/shove some backdoor equity. bet the river if he checks behind

he was thinking if he should raise not if he should fold
03-22-2010 , 12:38 PM
i think he's barreling too much and were not gonna hit a diamond or T/Q on the turn often enough to c/shove

at ssnl+ this is probably the preferred line. at uNL, I would argue differently

no

because 15/11s at uNL are more likely to do this with AJ than at ssnl IME.

3betting is fine, as long as you fire the rest of the shells.

I cant have a freakin winning session at nl25

are we barreling any turn that doesn't pair the board if he calls?

Yea, but its not as if he was thinking whether to call a triple barrel in a 3b pot w/4th pair ala Ivey, he had the 2nd nuts.
03-22-2010 , 12:47 PM
if the board pairs we are most likely to barrell because harder for him to have a set?

but if he calls the flop 3bet with say for example AJ, nothing really changes, and it's also harder for us to have one
03-22-2010 , 12:54 PM
it will depend on the range we are putting on him, hes not folding a set with or withouth a paired board, a J on the turn can be different but im betting it anyway, if u put him on a small PP or 56(?) you should barrell when the board pairs ... meh this is why i like folding the flop if its the first time he gets out of line.
03-22-2010 , 01:04 PM
ya i think folding is fine the first time around, and he probably shoves or fold 56 on the flop

i mean, is it bad that I think this is all wrong?

I'd never fold here just because "i give him credit" or "i believe" there would have to be other reasons to fold than him being 15/11, which doesnt signify anything other than his preflop range. I want these players to be suspicious of me, I don't want them to think that I'm just going to stay in line for the whole session and always show up with the goods.
