They're turbos, last about 45 minutes, and you should be able to get 6 going at once. Just play tight, but try to double up, then play push/fold. 6/20 seats in the 210 and 4/10 in the 5400.

Sup BBV, shove this river? I'm guessing vs. a villain who plays without a full stack, not so good, but vs. someone who thinks a little bit is this a good river to be turning my hand into a bluff with?

Guise, I'm having a lot of fun playing poker this way -

No 3-betting OOP. (i.e. I can still 3-bet bvb)
Exceptions where I can:
1) I'm against a shortstack
2) There is a caller (squeeze scenario)
3) Villain opens min

Give it a try imo
03-19-2010 , 11:43 AM
hm, this is interesting. I dont know if you are just experimenting or do you play like that on regular basis.

I found that the spot that I have the most trouble with preflop is playing SB when BTN opens. Im talking hands like weak broadways, SCs etc. Calling to play oop sucks plus I'll get squeezed a ton. Folding to such a weak range sucks too. This is villain dependent, but I 3bet decent amount, or fold decent amount if I dont want to 3bet for some reason.

So, ksight, whats your play with AJ if BTN opens? Do you just call? Btw, do you mean no 3betting for value oop too?

I don't play like this normally, but I'm experimenting to see what it's like.

There's actually a LOT of things (probably more so than most people realize) that are associated with playing from the blinds, and I'm trying to minimize that by not 3-betting at all (though obviously not 3-betting ever comes with its own problems, but I personally think it's less so than dealing with 3-betting at the level I'm playing).

Most of the time I'd 3-bet or fold AJ. Now I'm obviously calling.

I much prefer the 280's they are 6max hyper turbo or something. They take 5-6 minutes and top 2 get a seat 3rd place gets a refund. Its a lot faster.
