As crazy as it sounds, this is imo a fold. No way in hell Im actually folding this while playing though.

I mean...you rep AQ/J+ quite well. There is no way he aims to bluff you off that hand. If he has air and wants to get stupid/pull something and get you off KQ or random overs you might have, he'd probably bet turn himself and he has very easy fold once you raise, or c/f river if you call - its just way cheaper for him.

Now, if he has set he probably expects you to bet this card with 100% of your flop checking range, assumption that I presume to be very close to correct and it would be a decent mistake to bet (for him). If you check back this turn, you'd fold to a bet anyway... I dont think that villain of your description thinks: "he bets his air here always, so I c/r to extract more cash from air"

Plus he probably has 77, 99 and tt, prob T9 etc in his 3bet calling range every time and 88 is prob the weakest hand he might possibly, maybe, rarely have. I dont think he would c/raise AQ (I wouldnt most of the time), I might be mistaken though. Still....

I'm a nit so I'm going with c/f on this one, but I don't know how the levels work at NL100 >.<
