it's not so much the range he has on the flop but the range he has on the turn

edit: ok didn't see stacksizes correctly. calling may actually be better on the turn if we think he will barrel draws that don't have showdown value

hint: you can take a bunch of draws out of that range
So turn is c/c and c/c safe river? or just c/f?
03-10-2010 , 02:48 PM
c/c turn and then close your eyes and click call on blank rivers.

to ksight's post below: he's not priced in to call a turn raise/shove with a lot of his draws so what do we gain by raising?

also villain is more likely to barrel draws on the turn with these stacksizes so my comment about taking draws out of his range is incorrect.

You know...if what you say is true, this is the worst line we could take
03-10-2010 , 02:56 PM
c/c river this deep is bad IMO, unless we know he just hail mary bluffs a lot
03-10-2010 , 03:03 PM
You just totally changed your argument

If he's unlikely to barrel his draws, then obviously CRAI on the turn is awesome because he basically reps JJ only (KJ is a toss-up for him to continue betting or not, but now our AA that's in our range beats him)

Even if he does barrel his draws on the turn, we don't know if he barrels missed on the river, and most people at this level don't. C/C turn C/F all rivers isn't as terrible as it sounds if this is the case.

Yeah 4-5 rushing would be pretty sick. Might even be same rate as 20-25 tabling normally, I'm not so sure on h/hour?

averaging 1350 so far this month. bit exciting.

im just finishing my dissertation now, but it's only 10k words, well 10,689 atm. We got told 8-10k words, so I guess we're not allowed 10% either side. Not really sure though.

2 bits of coursework, a bunch of exams then a presentation and im done for good

MG, I still dont know what level means in different contexts i think you had to be at the table, UTG raiser nit who clearly wants to get it in while not scaring here off?
03-10-2010 , 04:06 PM
Never mind the KK hand, that straight flush hand is horrendous
03-10-2010 , 04:08 PM
I had the nuts, why not let him catch up? Disregarding the fact that he already made his hand on the turn.
03-10-2010 , 04:09 PM
this whole thread is out of order!

Spoiler:
reference to some movie I may or may not have seen and I have no ide which
03-10-2010 , 04:11 PM
bet or c/r turn on SF hand

bet is better

how can he catch up? any hand that is going to pay you is already there
03-10-2010 , 04:18 PM
Actually, he didnt have his hand made by the river, since there isnt a definite chance he is calling AI to just the set of 5s on a 4 flush board...so river had him drawing dead, i guess i risk some scare card coming, but more likely not, it will just brick off. So he caught up and paid me off 100%. I dont think it was such a big mistake to just call the turn. If i raise turn to pot or something i telegraph that i have a flush?
03-10-2010 , 04:20 PM
we aren't raising, we are betting

what about his 2 pairs and sets that will calla turn bet but fold river ui?
