back to even for the month.

I actually won a decent pot with a set in my last session...things are changing.

lucky bastard

nah, tbh. I am up in money, 3bis or so.
I am very happy with that result, because I had a lot of set vs set and stuf

btw, how did you like 24?
I loved it, again

Oh man February is a pain in the ass. Get zero action on my big hands and the flop-a-setometer is stuck at the bottom

Up 7BIs though thanks to good play (I think) and keeping the losses to a minimum.

How's everyone else doing?

I'm up 5 for the month. Can't complain I guess...I've stacked off light way too many times to count. I should be up about 15 though

I am down 8 last time I checked. I found that flipping at 2NL on FT is a 100% cure for tilt though. After flipping on FT and not really paying attention to my tables on Stars, I eventually got bored and quit flipping, only to return and check my Stars account. I was up like 1/2 BI on Stars while flipping at FT.

I won't wish you a happy birthday, per your wishes, but I will crank MIA. ty

Hit the tables for the first time this year tonight.

Flop: ($6.50) A 9 7 (3 Players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, MP1 bets $4, Hero calls $4, UTG calls $4

Turn: ($18.50) K (3 Players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, MP1 bets $14, Hero raises to $26.20 and is All-In, UTG folds, MP1 calls $12.20

MP1 showed A K
Hero showed 7 7

River: ($70.90) K

sf std

I'm really tempted to do some a-gray-sive BRM. I've got 9bi for 50nl at FTP. Multitable, move up at 18, down at 6, quit at $5k or butso.

At the moment I am playing only 6 tables.
So that is really almost the minimum of multi-tabling (actually this is 2 lol)

Can somebody explain to me why I haven't done this before?
- Your winrate is a bit lower but is getting up because you are improving
- The variance is a bit lower because you see less hands
- did I mention how much you improve?
- It's less stressy, because you see less hands and have way more time to think about things (many plays are standard, but its easy to forget the reasoning behind them)
- you can play longer and focus longer, reason is obvious
- Oh, and you improve way more

For people that want to improve a lot, are running bad or lose focus to soon I really would advice to play waaay less tables

I would say the winrate gets higher along with the variance, the former due to higher concentration and the latter due to less volume in general. Therefore it takes longer to get out of ruts.

There has been a shift in many players' mindsets about getting better. Some see getting better as an increase in hourly solely. Obviously this does make sense but it can hamper improvement and I do not see a reason for it at the micros.

Good post, DK. I've been playing six tables too and feel a lot better about my game lately. Less spew, less "let's shove this draw cause there's another table blinking" and a lot more focus on every play. It gets really easier to explore the fishy players at the table when you have the time to watch how they play their hands.
