is it just me or did stars mess up the VIP status display on the tables with the update today?

edit: nevermind, checked the VIP preview in the options apparently this is on purpose.

Kind of makes you wonder just how bored the graphic artists/programmers were today.

I had some of your run good juice going on tonight. I was 3 outered twice, but luckily never for full stacks.

I also ran a 3 street bluff that I'm sure was +EV against a tighter reg. on a nasty looking board. I think he had notes on me or just decided to say f**k it and call with TP2K. I took the lead from NOT's Vegas 3-barrel bluff..... I thought it's easier to bluff online than it is live....

I ended up grinding back to even on the night, which actually felt pretty good.

Anyone tried this?

I've been wondering how you can make ANYTHING taste that disgusting.

I'm also wondering why the **** I bought it.

Some backstory: There's a freshman in my fraternity that is borderline obsessed with me. I know I probably sound arrogant as hell saying that, but it is 100% the truth. Kid just follows me around a lot, watches me play all the time, generally just weird dude. Nice (well at least I thought so), but strage. Tries to get me to teach him cards, but I usually just turn him away.

So I send out an email to our list asking who was in my room the night the $$$ was lost. He responds pretty quickly saying he was, and that he remembers someone playing on my account, but that he was too drunk to remember who it was. I don't really think anything of this, b/c it seems plausible enough (we had been out drinking for my 21st).

Last night, my friend from the snuggie pic comes into my room and tells me it was weird dude on my account. This is confirmed by 2 other people. Apparently I left my door unlocked and Stars open when I fell asleep, and he just came in my room and dumped money at 200nl. What a classy guy.

These are the emails I've gotten from him about it.

I think I know what you're talking about, and i remember walking in there
becuase it was abougt 2 hours b4 i blacked out, but I remember some of your
buddies being in there with you and u were gone lol. But other than that, i
just remember them playing poker, but that's about it. How was Vegas tho? had a
lot of fun?

Cya sometime son !

not sure who exactly was, like i said, there were about 4 people in there. That
sucks tho. Honestly, if all 4 were against a wall i couldn't point out the one
playing lol. Let me know if u need anything else

So uNL chat thread people, what's my play?

Right now I'm thinking about sending out another email, saying whoever played my account won $500 and they need to come collect it from me, and then popping him in the face if he admits to it.
02-10-2009 , 09:20 AM
Ummm, it's pretty simple, really.

Just confront him in person and ask politely to return the money he lost. If he is a standard college kid who can't pull up with hundreds of dollars or even more in a blink of an eye, work out a payment plan, with a reasonable interest rate.

If he says that he didn't do it, ask one more time.

If that fails, just go straight to the police. It's just a common theft, really, and you have got witnesses.

money and friends shouldn't be mixed.

I'd pop'em even if he didn't admit to it.

This. No offense, but why in the world would you leave your poker account, with thousands of dollars, open with lots of people around?

I'm assuming the people you live with are typical college kids (i.e. they don't have hundreds of dollars laying around) so what exactly is getting to the bottom of the situation going to accomplish? Do you really think that if the creepy kid did it that he's going to be able to pay you back? For peace of mind, I can understand wanting to know who did it, but being that I'm a girl and kinda of a pacifist (I've never hit anyone), I can't imagine doing what you've described where you say the person won money and then punching him. Besides, whoever was on your account has got to know that he lost your money. I'd suck it up and maybe do what you've described just so you know who the culprit is and talk to him about a repayment plan (without interest imo...chock it up to drunken debauchery) and if he never pays you back then simply write it off, obviously not be friends with the guy and from now on don't leave your poker account open in your room. idk..I just don't think it's worth it to get into some heated argument with physical violence over money. unless....how much did the guy lose from your account?

good points, but this line cracked me up :P

knn05 is spot on.

If you don't get your money back, at least there will be no more creepy kid following you around.
02-10-2009 , 10:31 AM
He only lost a few hundred. I'm not a physical person either by any means, it just really gets to me when someone does this and then lies to my face when I confront them about it.

I usually leave stars open, but I guess with the extra security stuff I I'd recently to prevent hacking, there's no point in doing this anymore. Thanks for the input everyone.

LOL...I know...a couple hundred dollars isn't worth it imo. If it had been hours of him dumping your money to the tune of thousand(s) then I'd do something, but certainly nothing physical. Besides, imagine some of the hard feelings between the guys in your frat house as you go through the process (i.e. people walking on egg shells around you, so to speak). I understand being mad and I would be, too, but, again, you should definitely never leave your poker account open when lots of people (drunk 19/20 year olds at that) have access to your room. On top of all of that, it sounds to me like everyone was ****arded off their asses so it's not like you can really believe what anyone tells if you if people were drunk to the point of blacking out.
02-10-2009 , 10:56 AM
Id be pretty pissed and Id hold each of them responsible to some degree, I mean maybe 1 guy was at the mouse but the rest of them at least would have known and make even have encouraged/participated.

Tell them all to GTFO until they return all the money.

What is the EV of his at bat?
I'm a bit behind with my reading, and this has probably been answered already. I also have no idea what baseball is about (ignorant "old" European that I am). I'm grunching that his EV is .260
