But I still don't understand. You can't draw an EV line for the pitcher... there are too many variables. Its an EV plane. The EV plane for the pitcher and the EV plane for the batter intersect in a line between .250 and .300. But I still don't understand how you get it down to a point.

Oh snap, I see the equilibrium now. The slope of each plane is zero along the perpendicular tangent to the intersection line. At 20% for each.

How do I compute that and not find it by trial and error (or reading the back of the book)?

I never tried to use Differential to solve that problem....its been 10 years since I used it.

Sounds like the messed up the db drivers somehow. Was going to suggest reinstalling Postgre and PT, but HEM seems to be working so go with that
