Villain was 22/14/1.5 over 69 hands. Should I have checked back the turn?

I put villain on a set or maybe A5 spaides, but the latter not as likely because I have two blockers. Do you think that is an accurate range?

I would check back turn, but after you bet I don't think this guy is every bluffing here, 1.5 AF is pretty passive.

Moeeom, I thought I should check back turn too, but then when I thought about it was not too sure. What is the merit of checking back turn? Is it just to avoid being c/r?

it's obvious your beat here. You have to bet fold the turn. If you check your going to pot control and cc river which is the better line on a low low low low flop turn with action

i play it the same way and fold turn, don't see the point in checking back turn.

Dont check turn here. The board is soooo drawy. As played a turn fold is fine. Stacking of every time in a single raised pot with aces is a losing play (even more so since 3 players saw the flop).

I dunno, I think either play is OK. Him calling my raise on the flop was kind of strange, and if he was on a draw that card could have likely helped him. I hate when I overplay AA, so I think checking turn and pot controlling is fine.

I don't agree so u are saying he has A5, 56? how do u know that exactly. Betting the turn to protect your hand and get value from draws worse pairs is way better. Your hand can't improve much but his hand can improve a lot more. A

Against this opponent who is pretty nitty, I don't think I am going to get much more value out of his draws/one pair hands, I think if I bet I fold out all worse hands, and then expose myself to a c/r on turn.

If he is pretty nitty:

1. You can be pretty confident you are beat when he c/raises you.
2. There arent many one pair hands in his range. This means his range consists of draws and hands which beat you. If you check behind turn hands which beat you are going to extract a river bet anyway so you lose no more than you did here but you have given a free card to draws. Hence checking turn is an inferior line.
