Re: *** Official Fe"brew"ary Microbrew Thread ***

Playing my last 5400 FPP sat to wrap up my summer of poker (back to uni tomorrow) It's been decent but I really struggled to put hands in. Played half as many hands as I wanted after discovering 6 hour days make me think poker constantly, which isn't nice imo.

Will post results once this last sat is done.

Re: *** Official Fe"brew"ary Microbrew Thread ***

I have 2000 FPP on Stars atm and I'm really torn on whether to use it to get a book or use it to play some 210FPP satellites to the 200k gtd.

The few books I have in mind are: HOH1 / HOH2 / The Poker Mindset / Kill Phil or wait til 2500 FPP and get HOC 1/2. Thoughts?

Oh yeah I play 50nl but I like to dabble in the occasional donkament / turboament so I think HOH might be +EV for me

3 of the 4 books you mentioned are about MTTs. So not sure how those will help you much since you are posting this in a cash game forum.

FWIW, I have read HOH1/2 (and 3) and both are pretty good for MTTs, 2 was really helpful for my game at the time because it filled in a lot gaps. I played mainly the 4/180s at the time.

I'm currently reading The Poker Mindset and would definitely recommend it. I also know that I'm not the only brewtard that would recommend it.

Also I saw your name 'winnnar' and I figured you had to be a hennnerz gimmick

lol wat? I dont get that reference.

But yeah like I said I play cash but I think the tournament books will be helpful in making me less of a donk in MTTs although I have had a few $100-500 scores. Im just not sure whether they are good value in terms of spending the FPP wisely
