Dude, contact thing85, we're getting a league together again which will be in the $50 vicinity and Thing85 already has the league setup. We still need members and bsball806 or w/e his name is, is also going to be in our league 2 years in a row now. Just be patient as Thing85 of these forums is a CPA and is working 12 hour days during tax season. But we are looking for more players in our Roto league on Yahoo sports.

basically what he taught me was stuff that just wouldn't have me crushing 50nl, where I was at, but things that would help me move up and not be lost. This is what I think you miss when you get a coach who has only been at the level you are at, they don't know the things you'll need to know in a level or two.
ughh... sounds like i need some of his coaching. i remember playing with you at 25NL quite some time ago and im still stuck there. i cannot figure out how to keep the red line from going down. it frustrates me to no end.

terp made an excellent point about the redline in SSNL, which is that most people think that to lift the red line, you have to bluff more. This isn't necessarily true. If we stop making -EV cbets or even 2 barrels when we are often just going to give up on a later street, we often will end up losing less in non-showdown pots.

Sure triple barrel bluffing will lift your redline (at the expense of your blue line), but with better hand reading and especially reading which textures to cbet and 2b at, you can also lift your redline.

okay so BrewTards, I have lost my brew making virginity (well still in the process of losing it, since it obv takes a while to finish)
but I thought id share some pictures with you today... I pretty much had 0 clue what I was doing, and just kinda did it... and I feel like I did everything right so far

I got this Scottish 60 (http://www.northernbrewer.com/docs/kis-html/1761.html) as my first beer to brew... mainly because it seemed easy and it only takes 4 weeks to brew, and I have friends coming in town very soon so I feel like this was a great beer to start with...
the ingredients...

here is the pot where im "steeping" the specialty grains

and now here it is fermenting... which honestly I do not know how long this will take... im also really clueless where to go after this... haha
