yeh i was playing a TON of connected cards liked 78 and crap when ppl opened.

so something like 20/17 would be better?

i did open up at co/btn to 29 and was closer to 20 at sb/bb.

any more advice is appreciated

what's a good cbet number?? i was at 74%

Poolside.. don't worry about your numbers.. it's much more important to be learning about villain's hand ranges and your perceived hand range vs the more competent players. the numbers will not matter as long as you are making sound decisions at the table. remember; let your playing style form the numbers, don't let the numbers form your playing style

I'd play much tighter from the blinds, and 3b a lot more IP (OOP is against the right people). Cbet number looks fairly good, again it's so situational it's hard to tell.

i did as much 3bettin from the sb/bb as from the btn/co-- prob cus most ppl just fold to 3bets

very sage advice sir

another another question: how many buyins do yall play with at nl50/100?

i did make a couple of 'bad' plays today but there were more than enough clowns to balance things out

im also using holdem manager to aid my play.

i just started with it and am focusing on the vpip/pfr/3b, cbet, fold to cbet, aggro numbers. what else is important/vital?

and i have a cool chicken that dances

(even though some ppl want to squash it)

number of buy ins depends on a couple of things; your comfort level of putting that money at risk and whether you play for fun or plan on making a serious income. you should def. have 20-30 buy ins per stake.. weighing closer to 20 if poker is just fun and you don't need the money and closer to 30 if the money means something and you don't like the prospects of dropping down in stakes

steal %, fold to 3bet, fold to steal are a must for me if i play with a hud. aside from that i think it can come down to personal preference.
