mr mossy, posting about it prolly isn't going to do anything...
Worse than I did a couple months ago?

4 hours after I was supposed to be at work. Nobody could get in without me and my boss lives 30 minutes away. They didn't even start calling her until a half hour before open.

i think the fact that he phrases it in such a way that you are too take it as a challenge to yourself to not let it affect you is what sets it apart. i think too many people almost take pleasure in wallowing in their misery and talking about how bad they're running, rather than just manning up and plowing through it. idk, i don't generally have too many problems in this regard but i thought it was a good read. definitely some ppl can get alot out of it.

makes sense, ty

i just worry that big posts in general that people write out kinda in a fancy matter fool the readers into thinking its inherently brilliant when its just standard stuff.

arg mateys
02-11-2009 , 12:37 PM
Basically every post I make is trying to fool people into thinking I'm brilliant.
02-11-2009 , 12:38 PM
yeah you're right about that. i guess it's just that this IS standard stuff but nobody seems to get it cuz it runs contrary to human nature, so they need some HSNL guy to write it so it becomes legitimized lol

also i just got up so all this deep reasoning i think i'm doing might be sheer gibberish, sry bout that :d

A theory question for teh brew:

Is 3 betting AK against an opponent that flats a ton and doesn't play fit or fold postflop

and check/folding missed flops a leak?

So what you're saying is, I've had 3 good posts?

more like its a leak not to check/fold AK sometimes after betting it and getting called by someone that isn't playing fit or fold.

more or less

I've been thinking...

I wonder which is more ev+ vs those maniacal stationy opponents

3 betting AK and c/fing missed flop (which is like 66% of the time) but creating a bigger pot when I hit

VS adjusting my 3 betting hand distribution to strictly made hands and calling AK and trying to get value postflop.

thoughts?

well, it depends a lot on the flop. i mean, you shouldn't just be c/f every time you miss against anyone, but if a flop comes where you're pretty likely to get screwed with by given opponent, you should be c/f some of the time. against an active guy you should probably c/f more than normal and double more than normal, etc.
