haha yeah police etc don't like the event but since it's not organised by anyone and it's not illegal to float in the river there's really nothing they can do. It sucks that ppl leavy a ton of crap in the nature, rubber boats, bottles etc but there's always volunteers cleaning the places up the next day which is pretty cool. Police could potentially start fining ppl for drinking in a public place, urinating and other small stuff but it just wouldn't make any difference.

some cliffs: there was an actual goal which was about 5km from the starting point. In Finland there was a case last year where two guards were beating the **** out of some random guy for no reason. They got it on tape and the guards lost their jobs and were charged for an assault iirc
