I'm just going to say that I did this because i accidentally signed the account up for an e-mail address I can't remember the password to

I created a gimmick called WizardofOdds and had copied the avatar and was going to do something epic.

anyone else love the sweeties 'love hearts', addictive as ****

Last night I started experimenting with talking to fish at the table. I got it in nut flush vs two pair on turn and fish filled up on river and said 'nice hand panda'. I thought for a sec and typed 'yeah nh, wp' (guy was a huge fish playing w/ 60bb and insta-minraised flop giving me direct drawing odds, etc.). Guy was friendly and stuff and then proceed to donate 120bb back to me over the next 50 hands before leaving. I mean he was probably going to donate this money to me anyway but it got me to thinking that being friendly to a fish, especially congratulating them on sucking out after playing a hand terrible, seems like it has to be +EV.

regs dont really use the chatbox much, so if someone is talking about nice hand or w/e other **** and i notice it i usually try to reply. i think sometimes if a fish feels like ppl at the table are talking to him, he is more likely to reload when he inevitably busts. i mean, fish are there to have fun after all.

Exactly. Regs don't chat hardly ever. I know the only time I usually chat is to berate dickheads who slowroll. I think it is definitely good for the game to chat up a fish, congratulate him when he ends up taking a pot, console him when he loses a big hand, defend him against beraters (I always do this if I see it, nothing pisses me off more than someone telling a fish that they are a fish).

fwiw gateswi, if u berate someone after slowrolling you, they will get so much pleasure out of you berating them...

if i get slowrolled now I just say "nh"

When I first started playing (1 table no hud prob 65/35 style ssuper aggro post) and I called an open IP with A8o and won the pot, the villain berated me for playing A8o,I asked what's wrong with it. He told me it gets me in the trouble in the long run and explained to me it's a hand easily dominated. I actually took him seriously and started looking for strat in th internet and found 2+2.

What and idiot (the villain), why do people tell the fish they play bad? Leads to fish learning things. Better to keep them in the dark.

i dont even have chat enabled. The ev i might gain by talking on occasions is far less than the -ev from chat tilt

The worst thing about HU is not the bumhunters. Its the fact that even the goddamn fish table select. Fish keep quitting me, regs keep quitting me. How the f*ck do you bumhunt if fish wont play you?

I guess its just play people that are better than you until you're he best....but then nobody will play you.

This usually, but I still blindly type in NH, or something, unless there is a high chance I think they will think its sarcasm. Then I just shut up.

I know of at least one player who berates hu and constantly gets the fish to rebuy, rebuy, rebuy, but idk if he is "slaughtering the sheep" so to speak. Either way, I don't think its worth it. I'd rather have happy fish and slightly less money personally.

I feel you tony. Nobody hardly starts tables with me. There's like 5 regs who will do it, and then rando people. But a lot of the regs that also start tables sit out if I join and won't join me.

I don't even have a chatbox on my table frees up space for huds to not be crammed.

I just put the stats right over the chatbox.

Alright Dint, I'm going to bed. PM me your skype if you want to do it another time.

They get all scrambled and it's a mess if you do that.
