not this

the reason i would consider checking this turn vs. a weaktightist bad reg is because ur prolly only to get 2 more streets of value from KQ, and 1 more street from KT Jx, QQ

on the other hand checking back might allow you to get 1 more street of value from 22-TT, which he'd fold on turn, in addition to the one street we're getting off Jx, QQ.

the players this is good against make up maybe 20% of the player pool tho

if he's decent and knows you should be barreling this turn wide i think we get more value by betting again. i'd also 3 barrel bluff these guys alot.

if he's really bad then the same applies, except with the bluffing part

in a vacuum i'm just 3 barreling

this actually made me think about what poker could be like in a year, only something like 20 nl10 tables running on stars!

Am I the only one who doesn't see a point in limit hold'em?
08-04-2010 , 08:13 AM
Does anyone have any pokerstars chip/card mods you will share with me?

I have until the 15th to wait for my rakeback before I can play poker again, so I'll be spending the time between now and then tricking out my hud setup and pokerstars theme.

Anyone noticed 4bet bluffs are pretty innefective now at the micros on FT, even against the most aggro of 3bettors, they only seem to work well when you get squeezed. Compared to a year ago the a lot of the aggrotards just seemed to fold when you pushed back.

These days people seem to have far more depolarised 3betting ranges and also seem to spew off their stack with A9s a lot more, not that Im saying Im innocent of that
08-04-2010 , 09:29 AM
haven't seen this at all joephe, but if they are that's a great thing, just fold to their 3bets and 4bet for value...

I 4bet bluff very often and 4bet for value 90% of the time with my premiums and I find when I'm 5bet shoved on it's almost never worse than QQ+/AK

this is at 25nl btw

25NL as well, Ive seen people incorporating a lot more value hands into their 4bet/5bet shoving ranges against me, the likes of AQ and TT I see regularly. I do often have a 15-20% 3bet though over 200 or so hands at some tables which might factor into some peoples play against me.

I didnt min raise, I raised small because were getting the same amount of value from draws as we can shove the turn either way. As I say raising smaller may encourage some spew from villain.
