yes, twice, but I figured this time a $38 hand of blackjack would leave me with $125 and i could move $100 to PS for 5NL. I think I'm just going to grind 2NL until AP until I reach $400, and then move back up, I have $50 rakeback coming on the 15th so that will help, and I definitely the 2NL confidence booster right now.

I have a lot of fun playing online poker, and if I'm stuck at micros for life because I'm a dumb degenerate, so be it, at least I'll aways have a rakeback payment coming to rebuild with.

haha that is what my brother does. has like 500$ gets 300 from rake back goes to NL 100 Nl 200 with 2-5 buy ins and hopefully runs good. ( which he doesnt, always under even when moving up lol ) then just gets rake back. easy money lol

100BI is pretty standard I think. If I don't have at least 60 buyins I feel really uncomfortable.

It is standard for me, but i know many people using the 20BI moving up and down constantly.
08-03-2010 , 06:06 AM
I think I play worse with 20 buyins compared to 60+. I tend to try to win pots more often. My cbet turn at 2NL was 43%, over the 8K hands of 10NL I just played it was 50% while cbetting flop 66% at both stakes.

Well you should try to get out of there since rake will keep crushing you.

I would move faster on lower limits

i think 20BI +/- is good for NL2-25 may be even NL50. then you should solid grind to 60BI-100BI got NL100+ i assumed

however this is all relative to the person and his absolute skill level
08-03-2010 , 06:33 AM
I'm told that even great players go on 20BI downswings, and they're just bumhunting the fish.
08-03-2010 , 06:34 AM
i used a 15-30 BI roll, but i don't have any problem moving up and down.

generally take shots at next level with 15 buyins and drop down if i lose 2.

you loss so much long term EV by being a bankroll nit.

This is why I want to move to poker stars, but I don't have enough time to put in the hands to clear their bonuses. Uggghhhh
08-03-2010 , 06:40 AM
so i should take a shot at 50 with 22 BI? y/n
08-03-2010 , 06:42 AM
i'd go for it
08-03-2010 , 06:44 AM
i think im going to nit it up and wait until my roll hits 2k....

im effectively at 1.4 because i have a $200 bonus from rake race coming in 2 weeks, plus I have only just started playing looser and I'm not sure if it's going to be profitable yet (although at the moment i'm doing well I could easily be running hot)
08-03-2010 , 06:46 AM
i think finding 2+2 has been one of the most +Ev and -Ev thing for my poker game haha

all i do is troll on fourms while think hey i want to play
and
all the while im playing im like i wanna check BBV
08-03-2010 , 06:48 AM
yeah it's bad.... I'm constantly looking at bbv thread while i play
08-03-2010 , 06:49 AM
Take a shot Dint. You can always rebuild and we should all aspire to get out of the micros and make real cash.
08-03-2010 , 06:50 AM
i'll take a 2 BI shot
08-03-2010 , 06:51 AM
What is your vp$ip/pfr/cbet flop/cbet turn/fold to flop cbet/3bet/fold to 3bet dint?

gl dint, I'd wait for $2K, seriously. 30 to 40 buyins is such a standard minimum for shot taking imo.

real gamblers itt

fwiw according to one thread from ssnl forums even 4ptbb winners go on one 10bi downswin every 50k hands or so and 35bi swing once every 350k hands roughly.
------------

atm I stopped believing the idea that poker is beatable game. Supposed to be the best holidays of my life and I have depression Had a dream yesterday, that I desperately wanted to buy HTC HD2 (cell phone) and couldnt afford it and it drove me nuts. In the dream I ended up giving up my poker roll.

Will prob withdraw my whole roll (leave like 100$ or smth) and travel to amsterdam to do something fun for a change. IDK, considering it.

But...I mean, Im not going to be able to get a decent job right now. My roll will feed me for..idk, 4 months? And what am I supposed to do after that? IDK if Im able to rebuild from scratch again. And letting that year invested into learning this ****ed up game go to waste seems silly too.

cliffs: Im ****ed.
