people can comment on my playing too loose as much as they like

i played a TAGish style with the most standard preflop numbers for 200k hands losing/breaking even, i didn't enjoy it and I felt like I could make more money if I opened up my game...

since i've opened up my game i've been playing more of a LAGish style I've actually been winning over my past 60k hands, so until I get a decent sample in playing this style I see no reason to adapt back to standard stats

When you play more hands, you open yourself up to larger swings. Makes sense, no?

ANd if you get no credit your value 3betting range should be pretty darn wide.

just trying to help . theres no problem with playing looser if you're a winning player. you're just asking for unnecessary variance imo.

your ptr makes me want to cry everytime i check on it though

my 3bet is 6%

To play a higher vpip profitably you have to make thinner vbets and thinner calls. A few extra of these go one way or the other and swing swong.

I don't get it Dint, it says you are only 2 buyins under EV and down 8 buyins in winnings, not down 8BI in EV, right? Post EV line.

How does "Total Win" or "Winnings" mean you are down 8BI in EV?

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.50(BB) Full Tilt
SB ($52.35)
BB ($48)
UTG ($54.75)
Hero ($52.80)
CO ($61.95)
BTN ($212)

Dealt to Hero K A

UTG raises to $2, Hero raises to $5, fold, fold, fold, fold, UTG raises to $13, Hero raises to $52.80 (AI), UTG calls $39.80

FLOP ($106) 3 Q Q

TURN ($106) 3 Q Q J

RIVER ($106) 3 Q Q J 7

UTG shows A A
(Pre 94%, Flop 98.0%, Turn 90.9%)

Hero shows K A
(Pre 6%, Flop 2.0%, Turn 9.1%)

UTG wins $103

yup im done for the day

playing more hands doesn't necessarily require thin calls imo but does require thin vbets.
08-21-2010 , 04:15 AM
getting AK in preflop vs. an UTG opener just isn't going to be profitable with some history. i think thats like the perfect spot to flat AK

he's opening 30% utg and not folding to 3bets
08-21-2010 , 04:25 AM
what's ur sample?
i mean then the 3bet is fine but i still think it's a fold to the 4bet
08-21-2010 , 04:27 AM
250 hands

what do you think he does when I 3bet him and he has QQ oop
08-21-2010 , 04:28 AM
4bets it. but ur not ahead of QQ
08-21-2010 , 04:30 AM
once I 3bet am i not getting odds against a range of QQ+/AK?
08-21-2010 , 04:31 AM
he may or maynot 4bet AK/QQ
08-21-2010 , 04:33 AM
plus i just stoved it and ur 38% against that range so no
08-21-2010 , 04:34 AM

Pretty sure that $(EV adjusted) is how much he would be up/down if he ran at neutral EV. Winnings is how much he actually made/lost.
08-21-2010 , 04:59 AM
what dont you understand???

it says my expected value is to be down $95

however, my winnings are actually down $460'

If I ran with average luck, I should only be down $95, however I am down $460, $460-95 = 365

i dont see anyway this doesn't make sense

EDIT: I think you are reading EV to mean that I am only $95 below EV, this is incorrect. EV is showing my winnings if I had have run at expected all in results
