PT3 > HEM

HEM is for the illiterates.

It would be easier to help if you said what's wrong?

You can also try posting here: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/

They get back to you pretty fast.

-----

try uninstalling and reinstalling PostgreSQL and then reinstalling HEM.

failed to establish connection to 127.0.0.1 among some other errors
08-20-2010 , 08:07 PM
For failure to connect, it means your postgres is not running. Did you try restarting it in services?

If this persists and you're getting tons of errors, I'd make a new DB. You can put in a support ticket. Fozzy's the ****.

I am so rude. Everybody here uses HEM.

yup I tried restarting, changing how it started, reinstaling etc, followed the whole faq on postgres problems on HEM website...

Only error I'm getting now is the failure to connect one, was getting some others yesterday.

Maybe i'll try a support ticket, how would I make a new DB though?

Thanks man i appreciate the help...

Have you tried going into control panel and services and stop and start postgres. It is a fickle program ime. I've had tons of issues with postgres not wanting to run. Then, it'll be fine for a while.

The last time I had an issue with it, Fozzy uninstalled my HEM, deleted the folder - back up your notes and config files and any special reports you have. Notes I dunno if you can do if you can't access it though. Then he deleted the postgres user, then did a complete reinstall of a new HEM - download the program and the update. Then re-import hands.

That is if restarting postgres won't help.

Insta, I don't care if you want to use a lesser product - that's your decision. I just am correcting your error.

Another thing I just thought of is to uninstall/reinstall postgres.

this sounds like a postgres issue.

tried doing the whole start stop in a few different places...

I'll try just uninstalling and reinstalling postgres by itself, otherwise maybe I'll try what you did above.

Thanks again.

thanks again everyone for the help.

tried a few things which didnt work then I uninstalled Postgres and did a complete clean install of HEM again.

It appears to be working now as far as I can tell, importing hands as I type this.
