Don't most headsup regs use 100 buyins as a standard? Or at least have more ready to deposit if they downswing the 35BI's they keep online?

You can easily swong 3 or 4 buyins on one table against a total idiot in hu.

Villain was opening our bvb 100%. On the turn I thought he was FOS because his range is so wide that it was unlikely he hit that board hard enough to do this for value.

I had a note on him that said he donks w a set + there are 2 more peoplel and I'm not going to like many turn cards. But I could be fooling myself and he maybe just had donked an overpair, who knows.
08-20-2010 , 06:15 AM
You showed him, weak turn bet to induce a raise and then you shove and he folds the worst hand.

whoa thats a really big over bet. and thats a really ****ty call with second pair. that has to be a pretty bad bet sizing river re-raise for value. little to big i think haha
08-20-2010 , 06:39 AM
Not really if u think the other part is capable of leveling themselves. Btw, this was a 6max table first, broke down to only us 2.
08-20-2010 , 06:42 AM
lol i guess. but i think you probably could go for thinner value most of the time and get call majority of the time. him just calling is just lucky. but calling a river re-raise shove with second pair. may be he will just level and call with anything

One of the downfalls of ubbv players is talking about something they know nothing about.

ship the rungood.

08-20-2010 , 06:59 AM
Overbetting the river is good deadbird, it's party poker, you know the place where overbet shipping 500bb with the nuts on the river still works.

It's not the size of the boat, it's the motion of the ocean, that counts.

is there some sort of secret to not immediately dropping 3+ buyins when moving up limits?
