yeah it does! I am a complete noob (as anyone who knows me will attest) when it comes to computers...so im a little worried that i bought something that i dont need at all or is vastly overpriced but im a sucker for good salesmanship and the damn thing looks pretty cool.

wait till you import your DB, it will literally take all day
08-19-2010 , 01:27 AM
I may just not import it. I just use it for preflop anyway and that converges fast. I have notes on the regs saved etc.
08-19-2010 , 01:29 AM
you could just import hands from the last 3 months or something, that will be pretty quick and give you something at least
08-19-2010 , 01:34 AM
lol @ me thinking I was almost done with 50nl

God damn especially hand 5...it's like pokerstars is trying to rip my heart out.

Btw if you all are wondering why so many overshoves, it's b/c people call with utter **** so often.
08-19-2010 , 02:05 AM
why is hand 5 a big deal?
08-19-2010 , 02:19 AM
It was at the bottom end of a series of bad hands, so I finally get it in with AK vs. KQ and the flop obv hits him, so I'm like fk obv, and then I hit my two outer and I have a flicker of hope for my day, but ps made sure to piss on it with a rivered 4 flush.

To be precise, the up/down/up/down nature of it pissed me off most.

dont import hhs, thats the old way that takes forever

make a hem backup file in
hem -> file -> backup and restore

then create a db in the new hem and restore it using the same above page

or

make a .backup in postgres
start menu -> postgres 8.4 -> pgadmin III -> click postgresql 8.4 -> (get password from hem->database management if u forgot it) -> databases -> right click your hem one -> backup -> ok

that makes a .backup file u can use to restore with. u make an empty db in the new hem install then open it in pgadmin like above and do restore.

both should take minutes (less than an hour?) for <500k hands
