I dont quite understand what you are saying but i will try to clarify, if i got to the river with 56, JJ , TT type hands and expect villain to bet AA KK QQ AQ,air and check back all hands that i beat, i would just check jam river since he should fold his whole range, besides QQQ.
was pretty much my exact thoughts and probably i am thinking way above the level of my opponent there for sure.
Even with the larger betsizing (which i admit is better) it's still a $70 shove in a $70 pot and he just aint calling with worse so I still check back there. I had zero history with villain except for him watching me stack fish with the nuts.
Care to expand, ill give you my reasoning as why i like the play:
villian bets Jx on the flop like high %, he prob cbets QQ-AA alot higher than a hand like 22-TT even tho when facing a raise they are pretty much the same hand. I think he checks back air a small % and a medium str hand a decent %. obviously we can rep strong hands with a turn raise
I'd just expect him to cbet hands that beat us (and a lot of hands that we beat obv) except for some random slowplay with Jx every now and then but still prob mostly betting Jx too. But when he checks i see him having air more often than not. Do you think he checks hands like 88 back a lot on the flop? seems stupid not to make us fold our equity share if we have overs + he can get value from smaller pairs. The problem with c-r on turn imo is that he doesn't fold a lot that we beat because i don't see him having us beat all that often. That's why i'd like leading better on turn so we won't give him a free river + our hand still isn't really strong enough to c/c many rivers if we c/c turn. Obv c/r removes that problem w/ c/c but i just think that he can easily CB Ax hands if he thinks he has sd value and he gets a free card. Also we lose more against occasional slowplayed trips when we c-r.
And with what value hands we take this line? if i was villain i'd expect a turn lead from all the Jx hands and from a lot of air. Turn c-r with Jx doesn't seem so smart since we can't really get a lot of action from worse hands after that.

I disagree, villain has 77-TT the majority of the time here, sometimes QQ-AA but that is rarer. He almost never has Jx. Rarely air.
Sure sometimes we can call him down and be good, but if we c/r and bomb the river big, we take the pot nearly always.
if its related to that game, have only played like the demo
