3betting tens or jacks in or out of position is such a losing play, I'd like to see somebody show where they are winning winning when they 3b JJ or TT and get flatted or re-raised by a 100bb+ villain.

Maybe if I had any postflop skill with these hands...

Jamming any river, targetting different parts of his range (FDs vs pairs).

I prob have all sets in my range there (I basically gave up on 3betting light), he might buy that I can have 24s, different gutshots+fds combos, naked fds etc

turn sizing:
1)he might fold weak T, just cuz lol overcard
2)I want him to call with FDs and weak hands in general, so he can fold to river jam
3)balanced, doing this with sets too

hot or not?
i would rather take this line with a hand that at least had some sort of equity... also i dont really like the villain you chose to do this against

With 31% equity calling here is slightly better than folding, right?

re: bluff c/r'ing flops with small pocket pairs

its VERY hard to pull off profitable bluffs with 0 equity when called. having 10-20% equity makes a big difference. having KQ on a T35 would be much better to c/r than 22.
08-01-2010 , 09:40 PM
why are you raising 9Ts utg if you are gonna check a 48J flop?

randomly clicking buttons ftw

I almost cbet, but then i was like "meh 3-handed"

I click buttons gud

oh god, oooo noooo, i play bad. only 7bb to flat pre and I thought it was ok being deeper.

dont bet the turn
08-01-2010 , 10:05 PM
why wouldnt u bet the turn?
08-01-2010 , 10:06 PM
betting turn > check/calling

At least I think it is. I can't win with T high if I don't bet.
08-01-2010 , 10:12 PM
you dont have fold equity , check turn or bet flopand bet turn. (fold pre is even better)

edit: if u bet turn then you will have to bluff a lot of rivers and that is just bad specially on 2nl

This is distorted in a few spots to make your case seem better.
1st, the flop was K96cc, which adds combos of 78 to your range.
2nd, the turn was not an 8, it was an offsuit 4, which diminishes your equity/outs by a pretty sizable margin.
3rd, u didn't CRAI ott, u left almost 40bb's behind, over 1/3rd of your stack.

I didn't say u rep "only" draws, but I felt theres more draws that u r raising here, trying to get me to fold the type of hand that I had or something like JJ/TT. The only sets in your range otf are 6's or 9's, as u would've 3b KK p/f most likely. Why would u slowplay a set on this flop? I could easily have TPTK, TP2K, (N)FD's in my range. And if I have air, I'm giving up ott a lot of the time anyway when u call.
Not saying that this was the clearcut optimal play in a vaccuum, especially against "the standard" NL10 loose passive (baluga), but you're not some non-reg loose-passive fish who only takes this line w/ the nuts.
In fact, I'd argue that u made a good play here, but I didn't see much value in your range, and fortunately for me I was on your level in this specific hand and I kinda just soulread u for a draw.
If someone is good w/ stoving ranges and such, that would be cool, b/c I cant do that too well.
I'm prepared to get flamed for it ITT, but I had a read on u and I went with it. Hence, the 3bAI for your last ~40bb's. NH, GL.

uuuugggghhhhhhhh so frustating my read was correct but he sucked out on river >< im sure he is jamming without a spade too

edit: my read being he bets pot when he wants a fold and 1/2->3/4 for value
08-01-2010 , 10:34 PM
River looks 1/2 -> 3/4 to me, so fold.
08-01-2010 , 10:43 PM
lol

i should have crai turn to get value from 2 overs with a spade
08-01-2010 , 10:46 PM
fold river he should have alot of spades in his range betting turn

tbh i don't like turn c/c but i'm not sure how i play it different

given ur read i think turn jam is better, he should have this type of hand everytime
08-01-2010 , 10:49 PM
comtizzle if i crai turn it's fine right?

because he isnt folding As/Qs/Ks now

-----------------------------

and yeah i hated river, it probably is a fold, I'm not entirely sure if he checks back his overs without a spade, I would imagine he ships them once he's gone this far with the bluff and it's a great bluff card
08-01-2010 , 10:50 PM
given ur read yeh, might be good also if he can fold an overpair without a spade also

with stack sizes i don't like c/c turn either jam or fold.
