How does anyone combat the emotion of not wanting to put in the hours? I just have this anxiety feeling, even though when I'm playing it goes away. It's just the feeling before starting a session.

i struggle with this not only in poker but in most aspects of life. the best thing that can be done is to just jump in there, even though thats difficult to do, and often i dont listen to my own advice

i have the opposite, i want to play all the time

Both. But I guess, it gets stronger when it's a downswing. It doesn't really bother my game in that sense that I play scared money but it's still an uncomfortable feeling.

Yeah, same here. Luckily I always had pressure from my family, school etc to do things so they got done, but now that I'm living alone and university won't start for 5 more days, I'm just so ***** lazy. What I'm looking for I guess is a way to rid myself of the anxiety. For example poker, I know there are going to be bad beats, coolers, you will lose 5> flips etc, or say an relation, there will be problems etc I know its all logical and natural, but it doesn't help me getting rid of the anxiety feeling..

I used to have that feeling too Cumstizzle. I would wake up and just instantly start the computer and play. I like poker better in the morning, I have the urge to play, but after 2-3 hours, I take a break and suddenly the anxiety kicks in and I'm unable to start one session.

This, but I have to insta quit all the time because I tilt so easily.

decide ahead of time what times you're going to play and stick with that. when you add in the randomness of at the moment decision making you'll end up playing a lot less.

Tilting easily is a massive leak. There are tons of ways to improve that. Work on it.

No way!

I started using a stop loss of 2 bi's. Once I reach it, I restart the pc and walk away for a bit. Attaching myself to the net result is my biggest leak. Using a stop loss has helped when I start a session and everyone flops the nuts when I flop a 2nd nuts, I take a quick break and try again.

Guys. Im playing 10nl rish. HEM is missing some of my hands. Any ideas why?

If I contact support will they be able to send me my hands?

How is this early in a session vs a multi-tabling reg. No history between us.

I don't really ever try any lines like this, but I figured I could get him off better hands. Thoughts?

He's not folding an Ace there.
08-26-2010 , 05:17 PM
it depends on the player tbh. basically whether he's a nitstation or a nitnit
08-26-2010 , 05:19 PM
Very few people are nitnit. It's one of those, wtf calls because the pot isn't big and you're not putting them to a decision for all their chips.

It sometimes takes a minute or 2 for people to finish playing hands you autofolded. How long ago were the hands?

Ask fozzy in the brew. He is HEM support

Isn't this applicable in tournaments? Or u just mean in terms of a large amount to call $/bb-wise?

ldo. Some guys will fold 99 on T92r. Anyway, kid was talking about a multitabling reg who's prolly never folding Ax in that spot.

Saw a guy tank-fold that same spot and say "I think he has a straight draw and I don't want to get sucked out on."

FHL.
