Wiz, Is it standard for you to bet the turn for value or was that because he seems fishy? (on the hand where you had TT)

The guy was 32/32 after 19 hands so probably a reg.
Shove pre is standard and I know that.
Anyone else like a fold here?

standard vbet on turn but i should have bet more(11-13).

I am not going to go through my reasoning for why i choose to shove the river but if you think about it from brian J perspective it is not difficult to understand what i was doing.
08-22-2010 , 02:28 PM
I can honestly say that the SB vs BB hand wouldn't make sense to me if I was SB (I wouldn't call pre though) And I usually call down if I have any decent piece of the board when villians play doesn't make sense.
Like, the flop is dry but I'd try to set up decent stack size for a river shove, as a bluff or for value. So the whole thing just seems fishy and like the guy doesn't really know what he wants to achieve. You probably feel like you know what you're doing though.

I just think that it's very very thin because basically Brian has to put you on total air for him to call w anything u beat.

So when he didn't 4bet, what did you put him on? Btw, I'm just interested in your view on the hand and what your perceived range vs him where and what his range for c/c twice was cause in my eyes your play seems like spew considering the way the board played out. No offense.

no offense taken, but i really do not want to discuss this any further and this is my last post on this hand. But I will say that i was playing 42 36 10% this session, i thought brian J would fold must draws on turn except for QJ and since i have JJ it makes it less likely. If he decides to call turn with Tx or worse, i think he is calling river almost always if he has any concept of double and triple barreling and what most people should be checking back on river.
