A very good point. I'm pretty sure I have run badly in all of my downswings at 25nl but like you say I may be delusional. Do you do sweats or hh reviews? Perhaps you could look over all my losing hands for me or something?

you're still running ok right? just burned out as in bored? i get that way sometimes.

tbh online poker has taken a bit of the shine off the game for me. when playing live i lived somewhere that the nearest casino was like 5 hours away so when i played it was a treat. and every hand and situation felt new. now i feel like i have seen every possible spot and you really start to realize just how much variance there is. i really had no idea when i was a recreational live player. poker players all like to think they are in control, after all its the only game you don't play the house. variance robs you of that feeling of control. you don't really learn about the variance until you play online

Haha just wait till I get to 25nl again so I can run absolutely terrible.

My plan is to build a 1000 Br then move to 25nl. I want to be 40x rolled cause those ridiculously dumb ass downswings happen to me alot there..sighh

Then hopefully build to 2k then 50nl where all he donks are

By October 1st people!

Pray for me like a rosaraaay

i am still running good, just never feel like playing and when i do i get bored in 10min and then quit.

well given that you've been one of the more active posters lately and came out of nowhere just a couple of months ago you probably just need a break

Edit: i have also noticed that i get the feeling of boredom and not wanting to play when i am winning and never when i am down swinging

I think stheif in a vid talks about how if there was no varience there would be no poker at all because donkeys like to win too...and we should be thankfull for it etc etc. But I choose to take the non enlightened approach when getting rocked by droolers over and over again

like i said... people arent even gonna lead 3 times there and fold AQ... its an awful spot to bluff

25nl regs aren't braindead.
I won't ever. To George's line I would though.

for real MTT's are the tits when you get like this. the idea of winning big from small is so much more appealing when you've spent so long in the mindset of grinding and trying to win 'buy ins'.

alternatively, you could try fcuking around with a new game, i always find that boosts my enthusiasm.

08-15-2010 , 02:28 PM

it must be so much easier to tilt in PLO. Just keep potting and repotting everything.
