[X] Using fatties for television analysis would be -EV for ESPN's pocket book.

"Sir, you just lost your entire family and everything you own, how do you feel?"

Oooh, sick insight provided from this interview.

Seriously, I think most of them failed college and are just there because they have a good voice and look good.
Joe Namath was once asked by a reporter, "Joe, what'd you take in college, basket weaving?"

He responded, "No, that was to hard. I took journalism."

when im watching the news/sideline reporter, id much rather it be someone easy on the eyes than worry if the anchor is going to break her chair/get mistaken for a lineman.

Against someone that try to bluff me there I'd say this is pretty optimal, he would never call me if he had 55 and decided to turn it into a bluff, might call me with KT = profit

fair point. but its the intelligent fat girls that write everything the dumb hot chicks have to say. as long as the anchors are literate and dont improvise it should be all good.

studying journalism isn't hard. It's going out there and proving yourself and getting info nobody else can, covering a losing sports team day in and day out because that's your job, and not resorting to "oh yay, we lost again!"

It's a very cut-throat industry where you really have to be creative and be able to paint the picture so your readers feel like they were there.

I peeked in my first two years of journalism and retired.

At 17, I did 2 stories on the Deputy Director of the US Marshals.

At 18, I had a front page article in a newspaper with 100,000+ circulation.

I didn't think I wanted to do it every day for the rest of my life and knew I wouldn't pass what I'd already done, so i changed my major.

But I learned a lot about how to write well.

I had a front page article at 16 in a newspaper with around 60k circulation. Close...but I am no Brky.
08-11-2010 , 04:59 PM
how much did you get paid Brky for a front page article with 100k+ circulation ?
08-11-2010 , 05:00 PM
fwiw I'd prob enjoy being journalist...kinda seems like a job that matters, if you want it to be. But pay sucks and I'd prob quit first time sometimes told me to cover up something, so econ it is.

On another note, Im never playing euro networks again
