studying journalism isn't hard. It's going out there and proving yourself and getting info nobody else can, covering a losing sports team day in and day out because that's your job, and not resorting to "oh yay, we lost again!"
It's a very cut-throat industry where you really have to be creative and be able to paint the picture so your readers feel like they were there.
I peeked in my first two years of journalism and retired.
At 17, I did 2 stories on the Deputy Director of the US Marshals.
At 18, I had a front page article in a newspaper with 100,000+ circulation.
I didn't think I wanted to do it every day for the rest of my life and knew I wouldn't pass what I'd already done, so i changed my major.
But I learned a lot about how to write well.
