What do you think of this stack off? BTN seems to be a fish from the one hand I played against him (he donked half pot and folded a AQT board). BB is 24/16 who has a history of raise/folding a Q86fd board against me.

Against this optimistic range Im +EV to get it in but Im not sure how wide his range is.

On the stop/loss topic:

When you find yourself trapped on a deserted island, there is a reason why the best survivalists will make as many important decisions as they can on Day 1. Shelter, water source, fire, what to do if you see a boat etc. Its because there will be no future time you will make better decisions than when you are in a healthy frame of mind. Being hurt, tired, hungry or dehydrated is only going to keep you from making the best decisions later on.

Stop losses work in a very similar way. Know yourself, know before the session starts what causes you to play suboptimally, and then put systems in place that enable you to stop playing when those particular things happen. For most, this will be when they are losing. Making decisions like this while your mind is clear enables us to make better decisions when our mind is unclear or tilted. People who are tilted tend to always think they still have an edge at the table (even while tilted), regardless if that is actually true or not (it usually isnt).

FDs, Kx, AA, sets, air. Fold and make a note, if you see him do it further you can incorporate strategies such as cbetting middle pair and clicking it back on certain boards when you have air.

87cc would have been funnier but I suppose I can settle for this

wtf is that? Also, what is a probe bet? I just saw the stat in pt3 and I'm curious what exactly a probe bet is because I've never heard the term before.
08-05-2010 , 06:09 PM
The amount of times your river cbet into over 3 players is successful obv.
08-05-2010 , 06:12 PM
lmao, you are pulling my leg now. That is so worthless.
08-05-2010 , 06:14 PM
Hey man I didnt know you were gonna be so picky.
08-05-2010 , 06:23 PM
That is like the most worthless stat you could possibly name. Probably takes 500K hands to converge.
08-05-2010 , 06:24 PM
Come play a regs game on ftp people.

I find it true in hands, like when I plan to bet/fold and I end up bet/calling.
