Without reads I dont have a calling range in that spot.

Well saying that, Id probably play 77 this way.

not even 77, KK,44 or what about TT, or T7...
08-04-2010 , 11:28 AM
looks a lot like KK but could be AA just as easy. call with 44,TT,7x
08-04-2010 , 11:28 AM
Swift why would you check back H2?

Brian, so you don't think with his stupid flop bet sizing that he can just be spazzing?

As I said Id probably play 77 this way, KK I 3be pre, T7 I fold and 44/TT I jam on the turn to max value from villains draws.

Id call 77 rather than 44/TT on the turn because its more likely villain has complete air with us having both 7s, also we might lose value from 7x if we flat 44/TT and a draw hits the river.

Had 3bet the last 2 hands in a row vs. this villain.

Because anything he calls flop w OOP he's not folding to a Q turn + it gives him possibility to bluff on turn. I would just take the free card drawing to str8 + flush.

Hand 1 maybe a bit results oriented but against anyone but a weaktight opponent I would like to take a free card. While he can certainlyfold like TT 88 without a diamond, especially if you bet bigger , there are plenty of pair+diamond or strong made hands like QJ that he can just shove being OOP on the turn in a 3 bet pot. Obviously I have no idea how the opponent plays but If I were him there, I hardly have a calling range. If I like my hand I ship, if I don't I muck.

So although we have equity when called, if we aren't being called very often, it doesn't really matter. I'd rather barrel with air than a hand like yours.

Second hand depends on the opponent. If he has a tight UTG open range but is passive type postflop you can much anything below TT. Against others you could even call with any pair or again muck everything below a house (opponent either has a missed flushdraw or a trips minimum)
08-04-2010 , 11:33 AM
Why do you have to barrel 3 streets to get someone off 4th ****ing pair?

So annoying when you know what someone has, but think "meh they've probably got top pair and ain't folding", check the river and they have 76 on an AJ724.

I ment hand 1 u check back, lol not hand 2.
