There, the player would get back $23 from the pot, and he loses $1.50 in rake (if there's others that put money in the pot, the amount is less), thus folding a guaranteed chop is -EV here.

RU serious? why would I fold AJo in position to a steal from the SB? with a fishy UTG limper?

edit:
you are obviously a better player than me but folding that hand pre seems crazy?
08-02-2010 , 02:24 PM
Wow... first session of the month and I lose 6 bi's. FML!!!

Just one of those days were every time I try something they have something, one of those days where my AK loses to AQ, and one of those days were I start looking for a bridge.

I love poker...

Because you can't fold marginal hands post flop?

H1 is coolerish
H2 is a fold somewhere postflop if you are not leading flop after preflop raiser checks and i think you are always beat when you go for this much value and get raised. I'd b/f really small if hoping to get called by the Tc or 2pr.

You can fold the river to a fishy limper with the 2nd nuts when you have to call off $7.50 to win $53?

edit: oh wait i think i misread you

pre in hand 2 is fine. After prf checks on flop I think you can take a stab.
