Tonight I needed something in the back of the top of a cupboard.

I got out my grill thongs.

Dude what are you saying? NY, Philly, Boston, DC, Miami... These are some of the most populated places in America. They are also home to some of the best steak houses in America. The Capital Grill, Mortons, Ruth's Chris, and Flemmings all have locations on the East Coast as well as Peter Lugers, and The Strip House. Not to mention second tier places like Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak house, and Smith and Wolenski.

FWIW I never have sauce on a steak from these establishments. It's actually pure blasphemy. But that still doesn't change the fact that I could drink A1 out of the bottle. I even put it on chicken.

the only thing i have against steaks at chains is that they never seem to understand what rare means.

Extremely doubtful. Their high temperature ovens cook the steak to the perfect desired level while searing the outside. Plus I'm pretty sure you couldn't dry age your meat like they can.

But if you're so inclined I will buy a steak from one of these fancy places and drive to your place so we can put this theory to the test.

Ruth's Chris is ridiculously overrated. Just throwing that out there.

This statement is full of much fail... Ruth Chris is unreal and you could not beat their steak, but you also don't charge near 50 bones to eat it. Can't make a bold statement without even trying their steak bra.

Also I only use A1 when eating steak at home not at restaurant unless its ****ty

Best steak that I've ever had was at the Iowa Beef Steakhouse in Des Moines. Hardest part of graduating.

I meant chains as in Outback, Applebee's and the likes.

One of the best steak places I ever ate at is on the Illinois/Indiana border - I want to say off 46.

You pick out the meat you want out of the window. I think that makes it better - you see what your meat will look like.

I still stand by my statement that I could make a way better steak than any of the places I mentioned.

Also, a great way to make a steak is to marinate it in a 70% balsamic vinegar, 30% red wine, with pepper, and garlic seasonings, then grill it. Really good flavor that is like The Melting Pot's sirloin.

Alright sir. I give up, you are obviously well more spoken in the steak industry than I am

And I'm not making this up but the Phillies last chance in the bottom of the 16th inning is with Roy Oswalt, who is up with 2 outs after playing Left Field... what a weird game this has been.

i like buffets bc if the steak sucks then you can just get a bowl of gummi bears instead
08-25-2010 , 12:25 AM
in the midst of this heated steak discussion, can we take a moment to admire the genius that is chad ochocinco? i produce the following quote as evidence:

"Dear NFL I apologize for tweeting during the game but that was 2
months of my Bugatti payments you just took from me, I won't do it again."

discuss.

A good marinade is Soy Vay's Veri Veri Teriyaki sooo good if you are into that

My uncle uses a seasoning called Chef's choice which apparently is really hard to find. SOOOO good.

lol. I find that funny you mention that because if I remember correctly I always remember you mentioning something about going to Denny's for late night breakfast binges... what does your daily diet consist of lol. Gummy bears and coffee?

CueBall: What are you planning on doing for your 10,000th post? It better be in the brew or else I probably won't care anyways lol.

I got this feeling. What feeling is that, exactly? You know this feeling very well. You know, when you got your table all set. Uh-huh. Knife, fork, sauce, Luger's, but...Yeah. You just don't have the stake. Exactly.
