I know we have some Virginians in here, not sure if you're in their district, but 2 opponents of Bob Goodlatte (a major proponent in banning gambling) have joined 2+2 and are interested in supporting pro-poker legislation.

just got home from jury duty. got there at 8am. was sitting there doing nothing literally the entire time except for a 1hr lunch break where i just sat around more, except outside and freely.

there was like a 100+ people originally there, and out of those they chose 40 to be in the pool for possibility of selection. it goes all the way to like 38 and i'm starting to think i'm home free, and then she calls my number (fuuuuuuuu)

it was a civil case; some lady/her husband vs. genuardi's supermarket. she slipped & fell on black ice and was suing for damages. the trial was going to be for 4 days. (i'm thinking fml if i get picked)

so i'm in a pool of 40 potential jurors and we are sitting there forever and ever as the lawyers go in the backroom w/ the judge to make their picks. they keep coming out and give us false hope that theyre ready, just to go back. over and over. finally they all come out and say that the 2 sides decided to reach a settlement.

Huh? WTF?!? u had us sit there w/ like no personal space for ~8 hrs just to say u reached a settlement?!?! i mean we were all like thank god that they did, but still wtf.

/rant

cliffs: jury duty 8am-4pm, starting to fear that i could be selected, lawyers/judge deliberate forever and announce that both parties reached a settlement after all that time. feelings of "thank god" and "wtf why'd u have to take this long" at the same time. i get out alive.

brag: don't have to be in a jury for a (4-day)trial

beat: still had to sit there for 8 hrs doing nothing w/ no space to move.

variance: won't be eligible for jury duty for at least 3 years now.

Jer, IMO, the shirt being pulled down can be read either way. It also depends on the overall heat of the moment. If the make out session is getting hot then going for a bit more may be warranted. Either way, you have to make women feel like they're making you work for it so they in turn don't feel easy which allows them to freely give it up.

Also, non-standard third date:

I always like to take girls to public places, like a park, the mall, picnic's etc. The picnic always goes over well if it's not hot and you're next to a decent lake. Whip up some easy dishes or buy some non-standard stuff that has a little bit of a twist to it. My now girlfriend flipped her **** when we went on our first picnic.

Second idea would be to take her to a comedy club for open mic night. I went a few months back to Helium in Philly for my birthday and my girlfriend loved it. It was her idea actually. That way you can talk in between the short sets, you're entertained, you can easily drink, it's super cheap, and you can joke later about those who bombed and those who showed promise. I hope this help in some small way.

i love the comedy club idea...imma see if i can find a place around here and def do that.

One of my closest friends is a doctor and he had a motorcycle vs car accident like 100 yds from his apartment. He heard it so he went out to give the guy CPR. Dude ended up dying a little while later. Being a doctor must really suck sometimes.

Wade, did you end up buying a netbook? What one did you get, and how much did it cost? I kinda wanna get a laptop, but don't know if I can get one with the same price range you had.

ooo bowling is good too. i was just looking for a unique date to take this girl on. and yea, saving the monies would be nice too. i splurged a bit on the first dinner date and cant really do that again. id say a minor league game is good too but i personally hate baseball. granted, going to a game with a chica might make it more interesting
