Of all the rappers I mentioned in my list none of would be considered new or poppy imo. I do listen to some poppy crap but only when it's on the radio and I'm driving. All of those rappers you mentioned Fozzy are pioneers and have a ton of respect in their own right. I tried to like Alternative, Grunge, Metal, etc. at one point but I just can't. I've tried so hard to give it a go but I just can't do it. I like classic rock but that's about the only deviation from hip hop.

I have also tried country and I can't do it either. Too much pick up trucks, beer, broken heart blah blah for me. But I'll tell you hands down when Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, yada yada come to the Wachovia Center they draw the hottest chicks in the parking lot tailgating by FAR.

Have you heard any of their new stuff? "I'm Gone" is pretty good.

all your arguments are usually logical but i gotta say this one couldnt be more off. what about classical? beethoven, bach, tchaikovsky, etc. classical music has no vocals and there is no way you can say its not music. my opinion on rap is obviously that it is music but only cause there is a background beat. take away the beat and it becomes poetry. add the beat and its music.
