Unfortunately I think tim's estimations for the future of poker are fairly realistic. Ha, maybe he can work on his delivery though!

I agree. Don't mind his delivery either tbh though he is a bit too LAG with his frequency.

GL beating a market driven by algos and HFT though.

It's teh stone's way to try to help people, something out of his comfort zone! Quitting poker now is likely the wisest decision you can do for your future.

Not necessarily quitting but at least being aware that things can go south v v quickly and being prepared for that. Esp if you live out of poker and have close to 0 savings

Yes 24 hours a day there is some 100 and 200 running. 400-1k games run everyday but 24/7 though

Does anyone use HUD stats for all 9 positions? Do they exist? I just say have 6 postions on my pop up where UTG and UTG +1 are conflated as EP and MP1/2/3 are conflated as MP. Thought about changing it but just had a quick look at HEM2 and couldn't see them.

Don't have hud stats for it but I do have a full ring positional report.

Haven't played since early Aug. Loving the extra free time and not constantly thinking about hand ranges etc. Cashed out bulk of roll but left small amount on couple of sites in case I fancy playing again. V likely to cash out completely by end of year.

I love not constantly thinking about ranges! Haven't studied poker in a year other than quickly looking at a few HHs and probably won't ever study again cause like teh Tim Stone said...why bother?

School, server at a restaurant. Variance never ends but at least I'm never gonna lose money at work. Also playing whatever promotion is going on on stars whenever H1Z1/CSGO get boring. Right now it's spins and the new 11% rake but really fun beat the clock.

Recently moved house so mainly busy painting & decorating. Started training BJJ & been getting into woodworking & joinery. Also playing a bit of hearthstone when I'm at a loose end.

All much more fun & fulfilling than poker.

It wasn't only a means to an end but that was definitely the primary component. Poker has been enjoyable, had a positive impact on my life and taught me a lot about myself but in the end didn't prove fulfilling or profitable enough to warrant continuing to invest the hours I was putting into it. Restoring a sash window or catching someone in an armbar is way more satisfying for me than sitting home alone clicking buttons for a meh hourly.

Quick question re Stars cash bonuses. It appears there's no point saving up points for the higher amounts as there is no added benefit to doing so, i.e. $1000 bonus requires exactly 10x the amount of Stars coins that the $100 bonus does. Am I missing anything here?
