Ha ... change your sources mate

Still either run or train 6 days a week ... working towards doing my first Cardiff half marathon in October.

Done a few off the road runs as well as my usual treadmill ones ... also been speaking to a female friend of mine who surprised me by saying she runs all the time with a group of friends of hers.

I have the offer of joining up with them any time so that looks like my next step.

Not sure how you find the monotony of running, but from my experience having a running partner (or even better, group!) is way more motivating and gives you something other than intrinsic motivation to keep you going.

Run in exciting, interesting and beautiful places. I'm not updating it too much recently but have a look at my thread in the h&f forum and you'll see what I mean. No idea how anybody spends so much time on the treadmill.

Im subscribed to your running thread Ron, always read when you update.

Me running on my treadmill was my way of privately getting up to speed before venturing outside into the North Wales hills !

Definitely see myself running outdoors a lot this spring / summer with a group of people ... could be the start of something really enjoyable.

Missed most of this the first time through, that's awesome about getting involved in the HM. Is the training going to plan for it? Have you got a goal time in mind? Have you got any intermediate races planned to ease you into the world of races? I'd def recommend getting a 5k or 10k under your belt before jumping straight into the HM.

Definitely get involved in a group. I often just prefer running alone or with my dog but it's good once or twice a week to get out with my club. Also, definitely get out in the hills - or whatever you do get off that ****ing treadmill!

I have a friend who has ran the Cardiff HM before and he comes up here every fortnight or so and runs on a local beach early in the morning so im going to start going with him and get some tips about possible training.

I really just want to say ive finished a HM so im not too fussed about times although that might be totally different come race time ... could well have caught the running bug by then.

No real concrete plans about entering some 5k or 10k races before then but ill speak to that woman about it because she seems to enter races quite a bit by the look of things.

I think things might escalate quickly once i start running with a group of friends... so no idea where it will take me.

Once that happens Ron ... ill sell you my treadmill for a reasonable price

Sure am mate, going to hit the 6 max tables armed with TN2 and TST.

Clean database and ready to rock and roll.

Just started reading the No BS 6 max poker book, not really keen on a 4xbb open from UTG ( rarely ever bet more than 3bb without limpers )

And advocating never folding a pocket pair down to 66 to a 3bet from late position ...

However ... ill read the job lot and make some notes and ask a few questions as i go.

Fun fact:

Timstone is an anagram of an old archaic phrase: "Tom se nit"

Translation in modern day Timglish: "Tim teh nit"

I may have an ego but I do deliver.
When I came here for the first time playing 50FRz i said id send most of the ****ty regs back to 25NL. 75 days later ARP died.
Ofc it was not the best way to make friends. But where are these regs now?
Few decent ones still playin.

Whoever told u 2-3bb/100 was the best u could expect was probably a nitfish himself.
Ill be showdowning about 32%. Way too much? Thats what they told you.
I'll be winning HUGE on red and losing big on blue. Hell Ill send half of these fish regs back to 25 myself. Nobody possibly works as hard on his game as I do at the moment at these stakes. Apart from that Im privileged to learn and get coaching from a poker genious.
So.. laugh now. I'll be back with sample.
None of this is personal, but everyone is free to interpret it as he/she wishes.

LOL Tom, as if he did not have enough to swallow for one day?

i think it's ego driven by lack of experience? whatevs i personally don't mind it, bragging about 10bb/100 only shows you are on the high of how godly you ran and not much else though, good results.

zoom more and it will round up to about 2bb/100 if you're decent, which you might as well be, variance will hit. but about the death of Arp you had 0.00 percent to do with it, that is certain.
