Oh yeah, and again I understand that you aren't even breaking even, and that would frustrate me even more. I'm not trying to say my situation is the same/equal to yours at all.

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

I play 25NL. I broke even for the first 40k hands of last month (I played 50k total), and finished 12 BI below EV. I'd been breaking even over the first 10k hands of this month when my current downswing started. Down 8 BI over my last 4k hands (4 BI below EV). If I lose a few more buyins I'll be looking at a 70-80k BE stretch.

Right now my overall expected winnings are about 3x my actual winnings. And this hardly accounts for the absurd number of times terrible players have showed up with the tip-top of their ranges.

It just seems like this never ends.

And I usually do try to play 2hr or so sessions.

Ya man that def sucks, I have had a very easy time playing 25NL thus far. For some reason I feel like that play here is so bad that I seemingly win 8BB/100 everytime I play. I like to play small sessions as well maybe 2k-3k hands

I saw shorties all over the place last night. Sat down at a good table and 15 minutes later there is 3-6 shorties. Leave and go find a new table, 15-20 minutes later same thing. They are like ****ing mushrooms popping up!!!

Tables sucked ass last night imo.

And AKSpartan did you sign up for the sweat session? Sounds like you need a sweat or HH review.

Edit: SD, I think we sat at the same table last night for a while.

By looking at the EV line you are only thinking short term, over the long run it will even out.

Hey wtf I lost a stack yesterday when I got it in with 95% equity, but I know in the long run I will win a stack too in the same way when my KK rivers a K against someones AA. Even if you are a 95% fav to win the pot, there is still those 5% where you don't.

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

yes you are also thinking short term

But what if I have AK on a 10c5cKd board, and I am playing an 70/50

I bet, he raises, I re-raise, he shove, I call. For doing this his range is: any K, any draw, buttt in this spot he had pocket 5s and he wins with a set

EV line: WOW MAN, YOU DID SOMETHING REEEALLY -EV!!!! While I know, well, I beat that range pretty hard with TP/TK, so I am pretty sure it was +EV to get it in there

It also works the other way around. Calling a huge 3bet, getting a set on the flop, and getting it in against AA. EV: WOWW GOOD JOB !!! + EV FO SHO!!!

Oh well almost got it right. Think I've seen 15 different (at least) ways to spell that in various books and magazines.

Brag: I made it myself

try this out, I always do it when my foreign friends go like "Oh you gotta cook french for us ffs". With red meat and red wine (I can advise you on this one) it is just SO good.

Yeah looks like something we call potatisgratäng. But I have never used nutmeg and turnip (what the fark is turnip?). I agree it's the nuts with red meat.

Something I can recommend is taking a trip to the countryside and try a find a farmer who sells meat directly. Sooooooo much better than the stuff you buy at the supermarket.

Edit: You don't put any cheese on top of that, only the cream?

Not trying to argue but in these cases your winnings dont deviate from the EV line much. What does wonders for your EV is getting it in on flop with set vs (under)pair, straight vs pair, set vs (under)set (and losing to bd flush/fh all) , pair/2pair vs gutshots etc.

AKspartan check out that recent downswing thread in micro forums if you havent already, that helped me.

I am just not a big fan of red line, ev line, blue line

For me: Money in the roll going up? Good!

Figure out if you got it in good or bad using Pokerstove

Hmm, I read an article about this, I think it was called "G bucks" or something like that.

Basiclly, it's your EV aginst his range. If you see a 70/50 openshoving ATC and you have KK and call, and he shows aces, you've made a terrible -EV call. But you've made a great "G bucks" call, because you had great equity aginst his range.

This could also be applied postflop, like in your example about the AK hand, where you get it in vs. a 70/50. You made some nice "G bucks" but in fact you lost both in -EV, and in real $$.

Sorry, I don't have the link, but it was in the 2+2 magazine.
