Without a doubt these things are worth doing. I did the bankroll thing the full 10 times just playing my normal game. Just started doing the Jen Harmon one lately as well and bought 5k FTPs with my academy points lol. If you are interested in free stuff I would advise trying to keep those going and play your normal game to get some random free stuff later on.

Is there an easier way to complete the 'increase your br by 25%' bit? I have 1.3k on FT and making like $300 at 25 and 50NL is rediculous for 200 points. I thought I heard there was a way round this?

Maybe it wasn't the bankroll thing I did 10 times. I can't remeber which one it was but it was doable through just playing my normal cash game I think. Should check them out and see which ones fit your playstyle and just get'em done for easy points.

if a lot of you right now are going to be putting in a lot of hands trying to clear the mid year bonus you should sign up for this too:

http://www.trulyfreepokertraining.com/

i dont know how many of you know about this but for those who dont it gives you cardrunners and stoxpoker for the a month if you earn over 8,500 ftp points in a month. Pretty sweet deal actually and it doesnt affect your rakeback or any of that stuff. Its not only a one month thing either. If you can keep clearing the points every month you can have it for as long as you want.

...and you don't have to clear all the points each month. If you get say 1500 points (3k and you get the whole month) you get 2 weeks of stox etc.

I understand they say it is free, but do they take your FTPs away to pay for the site?

no, it does not effect FTPs or rakeback.

Wow that actually is a good deal. I guess there is no point in not signing up for that thanks for the info. Everytime I seen this I thought it just meant you would be paying with the FTPs you earn to view their site.

I've now spent 110$ on satelites, trying to win a seat for the MSOP, but I lose every ****ing flip. So here I am, without a ticket. So ****ing sad.

Here is another question for ya, which site is better? Should I select Cardrunners or Stox as my primary site?

Wow that def sucks man, i am just going to buy in for FTPs. Although it is going to hit my MGR up like the scrubs they are lol. It is worth it for the shot IMO. GL to anyone looking to play in this nasty tourney.

Stox > CR imo, especially because of their classroom vids (e.g. Ed Miller's vids) and better FR content and because they have Split and mpethy.

Also, if you don't think you can earn enough FTPs to get both over a whole month, the points required to get a week of Stox are less than for CR.

Same number of points earned, practically you need to decide between scenarios like
* a full month of Stox + 1 week of CR vs.
* 3 weeks of CR and no Stox at all
(or similar)

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

ya I think I just picked CR. Didn't feel like researching it enough and shouldn't have a problem clearing 8500 in a month anyway on most months. Whatever happens, happens its free anyway so it will be good to watch some new stuff and hopefully expand my game a lot.

Ha, ty. Did you see that the aggrodonk showed down pocket 3s unimproved? I don't know what I did to deserve his spewage, but, I was grateful; that one hand represented my profit on a 13k session in which I was down 14 buy ins at one point.

I quit shortly after this hand. I had told myself when I was down 14 buy ins that I wasn't quitting until I was up two buy ins, and the aggrodonk kindly donated them to my cause.

I try.

Your sn looks familiar;if you are who I think you are, i am perfectly glad for us to avoid one another's tables, lol.

I'm a member of both for a while now.

For your purposes, Stox has more FR content.
