I had a ton of hands against him back when I was playing FR. If I ever had a nemesis.....he was it. He's an ok player but tries to get too tricky. One of the biggest jerks at the table though. Getting under his skin is VERY +EV.

I've basically been doing this recently.

I'm running about 17/13 on most of my tables this week, but I always have two or three where I am 4/4 that drag my average down some, so that I am finishing sessions at 15/12 or something. It still looks pretty nitty overall, but I am trying.

There is a ton of those people at 50NL and they all seem to take my stacks somehow or another lol. I want 1 weeks worth of smacking them just to see how much my graph can spike upwards because it would be insane. Throw them a few beats and holds a few times and it is an easy 1K pickup.

I would be enty. Tilt sn is very similar to this.

I've been playing HU all week basically (and doing very well, up a k ) to take a break from the FR grind.
And when I do play FR I usually start a couple deep tables..

I remember playing with mpeth though, I always say hi when I see him .
What's ur sn borloo I'll try not to bluffspew vs you.

the convo in this thread today, made me a little.

Yeah, glad there is actually some chatting going on ITT. I don't want to have to work at work

The more I think about this (below), the funnier it gets:

Yesterday I was telling my gf that losing a stack when you run KK into AA is totally standard and there is nothing you can do about it. That you should be trying to get AIPF and you have to be happy with your play when it happens, shrug it off etc. She is playing 2nl and had her first KK vs AA experience. It made her pretty mad b/c she felt like she made a mistake. So being such a sympathetic boyfriend I decide to log in and run KK into AA not once but twice. To make matters worse I was taking a shot at 100 for one of them (mixing limits during the sesh). In the 100 hand I made a big squeeze with KK from the button and one of the blind shoves for 130 bb effective stacks. A 130bb cooler really hurts when trying to do a 2 buy in shot The thing I'm happy about though is that this downswing is just making me want to grind it out - I think I'm making progress

Defiantly +1 on not working at work. I view my job as a professional 2+2 addict, but there inst anything to do at my job since its summer so its all good.

You must teach me the wisdom of the second quote.

Kurt is unfortunately very wise in this area so his advice is massively EV+.

Don't get me wrong, for about 20 min I was steaming. In the past I have kept playing while steaming and then that leads to spewing off a few buy ins. There are a few different kinds of tilt I have experience. Steaming and becoming and aggrotard or getting mad in a very calm way and turning into a they-can't-have-it-again calling station donk. Now I try to be aware if either is happening and immediately shut down the tables. Last night I only need about 20 min to chill out, look over the big losses and make sure they were coolers, then I was good to go again.

All that beings said, I don't have any experience with huge downsings - yet.

Yah if I can just learn to shut it down after I take some bad beats that put me in a bad frame of mind then I could boost my WR a bit. I am definatly handling it better the more experience I get.

I am bored as hell at work and been going through the sticky and reading up and watching a ton of videos. Anybody have any suggestions for some videos to watch from 2+2 or anywhere else free? I have watched all of Splits except for a couple of the 9 tabling ones, watched a couple of bottomset's, all 3 from newmani, and the last two from gregGGhehe. I play $50nl FWIW.

Ummmmm. OK, you are on the FTP thread and you play 50nl... you should be taking advantage of truly free poker training and have a stox membership!! That will cure your boredom at work. Worked for me.

Yah working on it currently. Just moved here this month and am up to about 1700 points right now for the month since I dont get a huge amount of volume in.
06-22-2009 , 07:20 PM
Yeah, I'm ridiculously low volume too Stupid loljobaments. But at 50 it's pretty easy to clear. Just sucks waiting it out the first time haha.

06-22-2009 , 07:29 PM
Yeah, I believe each 750 pts is 1 week of access starting on the 1st.

Ya man the Ironman bonus is going to be nice to have. I was thinking about clearing that and then hoppin to UB for a little bit to rip through there bonus and then comeback to UB. Anyone think that is a good plan of action?

Was somewhat curious about this as well.

Disapprove of any plan that involves playing on AP or UB; that said, bonus whoring is usually +EV
06-23-2009 , 12:04 AM
Well that kinda contradicts itself :-) UB gives a massive bonus to signup. You don't think it is worth it to try to rip through that bonus and then peace off their site? It seems like an easy BR builder to help me move up in stakes quicker? Seems like a good idea unless there is a big reason why I shouldn't. I know they were caught with the whole cheating thing, but I am just looking to grind out the bonus and bounce not play UB full time.

Just register there (doesn't require that you register accounts on Stox or CR ahead of time - they do that for you using the SN you pick on that site and send you PWs via email).
