Play some 50nl and you'll realize how weak the 25nl is... I'm playing 25nl and lower these days.

+1

I have been playing nl50 for a while now and I feel that I am getting much stronger, but my hourly is still higher for nl25 right now playing the same tables.

Yeah, they've been pretty good this month. There seem to be certain times when they are infested with Shorties, like during the happy hours, but if you table select you can get on tables with only a couple.

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

I guess I'm a FT micro FR regular now. I was trying to build up a bankroll from $5 for the last couple of years and finally made enough playing sngs and mtts so I can feel comfortable playing cash games. I've started with 10NL and have only been at it for about 5 days. I am 8-tabling and have had decent results so far over 13k hands, 5.3 BB/100. Of course the sample is super small so it doesn't mean much but hopefully I can be a profitable player. I have experience playing cash games (25NL on bodog which I win at but then lose sports betting and live games from 1/2 up to 5/10) but have never really tried grinding them online. As far as moving to a higher game, I think I'd like to get up to about $1k in my account before trying 25NL. If I am able to maintain 5 BB/100 in 10NL, could I expect to be a winner at 25NL?

I don't think you'll have a lot of trouble with 25NL. I'd even start taking shots when you have 20-25 buy-ins but that depends with what you're comfortable.

Anyway, I've been taking shots at 50NL but I'm more comfortable at 25NL for the moment so I'll continue working on my game there. See you all at the tables tonight

U know the more it goes the more I stop hating the sorties (on my left) because they are just so god damn awful. Yesterday I had my first session with a >0 red line just because there were 2 nit shorties on my left on 2 of my 6 tables and I kept raising ATC. But yeah of course, had I to chose I would alway take a full stacked fish, obviously.
If the table is good and there are 2-3 bad shorties, I dont mind staying as long as I have position on 1-2 whales.

I see you are in Scottsdale - I'm in Tempe. Have you been playing live around here?

Regarding the move to 25, don't make too big of a deal out of that. I'd say start taking shots with 600 and set a stop loss, maybe 500 (4 buy ins). Focus on finding the fish and you'll be OK. The biggest difference I noticed was that there is more 3betting preflop at 25 and there are a few more people that play back post flop.

Solid brag. The good news is that the second is WAY easier than the first. Not sure about the third yet...

I actually just moved to Iowa for some reason. When I lived in Scottsdale, I played regularly at casino AZ. I'm starting a job on Friday so I won't be able to play as much online but think it will not take too long before I'm ready to take a shot at NL25.

Standard SS player imo, there's lots of them. Some good, some bad. There is a thread somewhere in the stickies on how to beat them.

HEM/PT3 is a poker tracking software
It hepls you keep track of how other player plays and how you play and your winrate etc, I really recomend to use one of them if you dont. PT3 has a 60 free trial period and HEM 15 days

Oh, ok. I am currently using the pokertracker trial although I don't really understand how to use most of the features. I have looked up some threads on it but I think most of them are for an older version. At 10NL, it seems kindof pointless to look stats up for individual opponents since they rotate in and out of the games so quickly it is hard to get reliable stats on them. It is cool to be able to see my own stats however. Right now I'm 12.3/6.5 as far as vpip/pfr. Not sure if that's good but my results so far have been good. I think my pfr% may go up as I have been 3-betting a lot more against short stack raisers in the last few sessions. I will reraise almost every time I play a pot against them now. I've also been looking for good spots to 3 bet late position raisers from the blinds but have been having some trouble pulling the trigger (except vs short stacks). I do indeed have a bad habit of looking at the cashier during a session which I'll try to cut down on.

I agree that alot of 2-10NL players rotate alot but you'll at leas get reliable stats on the regs and alot of the fishy players are playing regulary so you'll get good stats on those too.
As for your stats I'm not really the right guy to answer this but it seems you're limping a bit to much. I would recomend posting your stats here when you get a decent sample (10k+ hands): https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/78...thread-158015/

Here's a thread from pokey about the stats in PT3, I think you should read it as it give's you more understaning about the stats: http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/show...Number=4946669

Thanks for the help. I posted some of my stats in that thread and will see what the verdict is. I also checked out the thread about using PT. I'm still not really sure how the filters work but will mess with it until I get it figured out.

I have him at 10.5/5 over 643 hands. Very passive both pre and post. Doesn't seem very positionally aware if at all.
Lost a big pot where he open-limp/called KQs from the HJ vs BTN and then called down three streets on Q4864 no flush.

what do ypu mean "bad", is he a bad player or is he bad for you?

he is from Korea, South as many players on FTP theses days...?

his stats are 10,5/5/ AF 1.64 and WtS when saw flop is 30; folded to flop bet 64; raised flop 10%; won $ at showdown 51%

he is always on when i go on and he is still on when i leave (i play about 1-2 hours per day)

so i wonder how i should play against him, since he raised me off on the flop 2 times today (one time AA), but we were more then 200BB deep and i did not whant to shove it that deep, he is so tight!

so any suggestions how to exploit that kind of player, in deep stack play?
