Hmmm, that's assuming everynone contributes evenly in rake? If your a complete nit and hardly in any (big) pots this would be less right?

Yeah, I think you're right. I play mostly 100bb tables and it was much easier this weekend to find good tables without having to weed through a ton of shorties. I did notice, however, that I had played with the sorting options before they came out with the update to fix the problem, and the deep stack tables never showed up with the regular tables for me.

I'm doing a concept of the week thread where I talk about evaluating villains' stats. In preparing to write it, I have been looking at stuff like this.

At $50, the average player plays 19/8/2.2 and 3 bets about 2.4% At $100, the average player plays 18/8/2.4 and 3 bets about 2.6%

Not much difference, but what there is suggests that $100 is a hair more aggressive overall.

The stats on regs were almost exactly the same--the average reg at both levels plays 12/8/2.2

Wow, really? That's pretty good to hear and gives some rest once I've built my bankroll enough (and played enough hands) to think about moving up to $100NL. At least 2 months or so though I'd think...

I was really surprised by this, too, because when i play $100, I feel like I am being outplayed far more often than when I play $50. But, on average, they are not more aggressive, it just seems like they are, on average, smarter about when they are aggressive.

Is there a way of measuring how much more aggressive they might be in late position ie with position?

I'm not sure. I'm going to be playing around with HEM over the next couple of weeks trying to figure out what can and can't be done.

That sounds logical yeah, knowing when to do something is more important then knowing that you should be doing something sometimes

Overall stats only say so much of course, if they have massive postflop skills they could outplay you tons even with a 42/5/2 style. But still surprising to me.

I don't think there is a major difference.

Youll find the occassional good player that will 3 bet more from late position or the blinds.

As long as you try and find tables with fish and leave tables all full of regs you can probably win at close to the same win rate.

Probably the only difference is pyscological in terms of the amount of money won and lost is more.

Hey Matt, do you know...

if there is some way to tweak HEM table manager to show a table that has disintegrated? With PAHUD, the VPIP would go to X when no cards are dealt so you could instantly see when a table has no players any more.

Helpful when having a few minimized tables open and playing elsewhere....
